Steve Richards v. Tommy Dreamer

I thought this was pretty good stuff actually. It was kind of standard opener but it wasn't overbooked and both guys hit everything well. Richards sit down senton was something different and the finishing neckbreaker looked good.

Dino Sendoff/Donn E. Allen v. Tazmaniac

Taz gets dq'ed for being mean to the ref after mauling the jobbers. Then 911 runs in and they destroy the ref.

Too Cold Scorpio v. Dean Malenko

This was a more subdued version of the Benoit match from the Jan. show. I liked Malenko's brainbusters in this and Scorp's nearfall run was really well done leading to the time limit finish. On the other hand this is the sort of "indy classic" match that comes across really dated nowadays. Lots of your turn, my turn stuff down the stretch and I thought they paced this in such a way that you knew it was going to a draw from the beginning. Short of the cut.

J.T. Smith v. Sandman

This was a fun little match with a cool wipe out ending but I'm not sure what the logic was in giving J.T. so much offense here.

Sabu v. Osamu Nishimura

I've actually seen this before. This is one of those lovably random matches that made ECW so fun. I'm not sure how good this was, but there was good stuff in it. I loved the trading dives sequence for example and Nish countering a second Air Sabu spot with a running clothesline and a barrage of chairshots was pretty cool. The table spot was fucked here so they had to go to an improvised finish that came off weird but this was fun to watch.

Public Enemy v. Hack Myers and Mikey Whipwreck

Mikey's wipe out plancha was really sweet. This was actually pretty spirited brawl. I really liked the Hack Myers/Rocco Rock brawling in the stands segment as it felt like it could devolve into a legit crime scene at any moment. This isn't nomination material, but I enjoyed it.

Tully Blanchard v. Shane Douglas

This started out as a really stiff back and fourth fight and I was really digging it and then it just descended into utter trash with long meaningless legwork, no definition of roles and both guys looking like they were desperate for the match to end.
