Posted August 25, 201015 yr comment_5454965 John??? v. Jorge Estrada??? No fucking clue who these guys are as I assume this was some sort of tryout match. Anyhow this was a pretty decent little opener with a couple of good bumps and a well executed finish. Not bad. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Simon Diamond/Johnny Swinger Usually I am not a fan of the mic work of Diamond but they got the crowd really pumped pre-match and the opening run of stuff ending with Roadkill taking a big bump to the floor was well done. Doring FIP was well done but too quick. Sadly this one really gets weak down the stretch as they start telegraphing the fuck out of all the big spots and the interference just gets ridiculous and distracting. Chaz Taylor v. Kid Kash Chaz's doucey heeling was pretty awesome in this but Kash ends up winning after his Angel Wings before this really has a chance to take off. Too bad. Billy Wiles/C.W. Anderson v. Nova/Chris Chetti I actually thought Chetti's FIP segment was not bad here. I mean this wasn't much of a match, but it wasn't a disaster and I didn't hate it so that's an improvement. Chilly Willy v. Chris Hamerick I really wanted to like this, but they seemed really out of synch through most of this and even as a collection of moves this wasn't impressive at all. New Jack coming in post-match and destroying everyone was way more entertaining than the match. He actually ends up pinning Hamerick too though there was no real match. Da Baldies v. Mikey Whipwreck/Balls Mahoney The opening of this is actually pretty fierce as Balls is blasting people with shots and Mikey bounces Devito around the rails and whips him with the belt from a bathrobe which sounds less vicious than it was. This settles into a standard tag with Mikey taking the beating and Balls getting the hot tag. I actually thought Balls and Mikey made a pretty good team. Match really wasn't anything to write home about, but it was respectable. Justin Credible v. Jerry Lynn This was actually pretty good. I thought Credible's bumps looked really good as usual and at times these guys were delivering with some unusually stiff offense. The table spot was fairly well done and I even though the Francine interference and false finishes were done well for once. Better than expected at least. Scotty Anton/Steve Corino/Rhino/Jack Victory v. Tajiri/Sandman/Raven/Tommy Dreamer This is JIP and starts with Dreamer being worked over by the heels. Dreamer does the worm and then hot tags to Sandman. At this point the match breaks down and people start brawling all over. Rhino and Sandman get isolated in the ring which leads to a flip splash from Sandman through a table, a missed gore from Rhino through a table and Rhino eventually taking the fall. What was shown of this was not bad, but it looked to have been missing a lot. Little Guido v. Rob Van Dam There was some really impressive shit in this, especially Van Dam's press slam into a immediate backflip spot. I mean it's bullshit, but it was impressive. There is a weird stretch in this where Guido uses a legdrop variation about five times in two minutes or less. Ultimately this was just a lengthy showcase for Van Dam bullshit. Scotty Anton/Steve Corino/Rhino/Jack Victory v. Tajiri/Sandman/Raven/Tommy Dreamer Well this is strange. For reasons I don't understand the first part of this match is at the end of this disc and it also features Sandman getting naked from the waste down. Yep.
November 29, 201014 yr comment_5458873 We gotta include the Sandman nudity as an extra. Sandman jumping rope with Dreamer & Raven swinging the bullrope. That whole segment was hilarious.
