Not sure how early this was in their run, but the opening of this looked to be them working out the kinks and then out of nowhere they just blasted off. I really liked a lot of the mat spots and counters in this as some of it was stuff I'd never seen before and the rest of it was stuff that I don't usually see done this well. Crazy played heel here and it was interesting to see how natural he was in that role given how vanilla a babyface he would be for the bulk of his ECW tenure. This was divided pretty well and while it was really spotty, it was not heavy on back and fourth stuff. They definitely had better matches, but I think this ought to be considered at the very least.

Super Crazy v. Tajiri Low End Nomination - FanCam 1-23-99

- Early on, Tajiri controls twisting and flipping Crazy around, knocking him out of the ring, kicking his knee out, all good. Crazy responds in kind rolling Tajiri around in a surfboard. Nice. They take it outside with the Crazy fall and a Tajiri moonsault. After being caught in a tarantula, Crazy takes a breather. After Tajiri misses a kick to the corner, Crazy takes over and dominates with his high impact moves, powerbombs. Tajiri fights back and nails a German for 2 and they start the stretch run. And you blink and the stretch run ends with Tajiri getting the pin with a hurancanrana. Shit, I can’t fault the work but the end run was criminally short. I would have to watch this compared to the others but it seemed solid to me.

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Super Crazy (1/23/99)

These two pretty much always have good to great matches and this was no different other than it was one of their earlier matches so they were just getting their formula down so it wasn't as good as the later matches but good nonetheless. They hit everything good here and both men look great and I liked Crazy playing rudo here as it added a different touch to the match. The finish run was too short but this still is good enough to move forward.
