Posted August 26, 201015 yr comment_5454996 I really enjoyed the opening matwork in this as you had a real contrast of sorts with Scorp and Malenko bringing the flash and speed and Scott Steiner working a more traditional amateur wrestling style and relying pure power. Rick Steiner was interesting to watch in this one as well because he looked legitimately annoyed to be working in such a shit hole and his rather cavalier dismissals of Scorp and Malenko offensive attempts actually added to the match in a bizarre way. Stretch run of this was pretty sweet as the crowd really started going when Scorp rolled out the moonsault and though the execution of frankensteiner was pretty poor I thought the build to it as the culminating spot was cool. This was not a great match and was awkward in parts but I think it was good enough to pass on to another pair of eyes.
August 27, 201015 yr comment_5455030 You see this alot in All Japan where the aces will wave off the offense of the subordinates and I can completely buy that it would add to the match. There is one match where Jumbo is taking offense from someone and he looks agitated and just kills a guy with a backdrop driver to put the match away.
October 21, 201014 yr comment_5457476 Steiners v. Too Cold Scorpio/Dean Malenko Low End Nomination - FanCam 8-25-95 - Damn, Scorpio and Scotty could have been a dream match in 1995. They have a nice exchange followed by a nice Scotty_Dean exchange. Weird how a few years later, Dean would never get a chance against Scotty and his peaks. All 4 guys looking good early. Dean takes out Rick’s leg to take control and I am curious if they keep this going in the match. Oh well, they don’t. I like the matchups where Scorp works primarily with Scotty and Rick works with Dean. Still, the match hardly built when Scotty puts Scorp away with the Frankensteiner. Oh well. I was just getting into it and I don’t think the match built long enough to anything meaningful before it was over. No vote.
November 1, 201014 yr comment_5457841 Rick & Scott Steiner vs. "The Shooter" Dean Malenko & 2 Cold Scorpio (8/25/95) This was a good match with some solid exchanges but I agree with Will in that it really didn't build to anything important and seemed like just a match with an ending. I think if there was a better stretch run this could've been a nomination but there wasn't one so this isn't one.
