Posted August 27, 201015 yr comment_5455050 I did a virtual play-by-play of the 7-10 match and I'm not going to do that here. This is very similar to the match the night before, but I think where there was variation it was arguably better. For example I liked the double drop down criss cross spot more than some of the schtick PG13 worked in the first match and I thought Spike's flip plancha was a welcome addition here. I also really dug the Ice test of strength with Spike which was just as over the top as him not being able to slam Mikey, but done in a fashion that seemed near believable. The Woflie D/Spike follow up with Mikey coming through Spike's legs for a ball shot on Woflie and J.C. going for the same thing only to get poked in the eyes leading to him popping up and headbutting Wolfie in the nuts was pretty great (as was subsequent helium voice on house mic performance from Wolfie). Spike's FIP was a little weaker here because of the length and the lack of tension on the hot tag, but I actually kinda liked the hub cab assisted victory for th ebad guys.
October 24, 201014 yr comment_5457561 PG-13 vs. Mikey Whipwreck/Spike Dudley Solid Nomination - FanCam 7-11-97 - Not as crisp or funy early on as the one I watched the other day. However, PG-13 on their B game is still pretty freaking great. Love JC’s ittle karate deal with Mikey only to get a thrust to the throat. I mean seriously, injuring your hand after tagging your partner? Great. Nice test of strength section where Mikey punches Wolfie in the balls and the follow-up with Ice was even better. Good shit but anti-Memphis guys will hate it. The Spike in peril section was great with all the cool PG-13 double teams. Could have done without the overbooked finish but it worked. Nomination.
November 15, 201014 yr comment_5458348 PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D) vs. Spike Dudley & Mikey Whipwreck (7/11/97) I liked this a lot because this was different from the one from the day before and they didn't go almost move for move which is great because I'm sure there were fans that were at that show and this one. PG-13 were awesome here of course and Spike/Mikey were fine although their role was different here than it was in the previous match since there wasn't a prolonged FIP section. The finish was old school PG-13 hubcap finish and I liked it a lot so I think this is an easy nomination.
