Posted August 27, 201015 yr comment_5455060 This was a hell of a spotfest. Both Sabu and Sandman hit all of their wild and reckless spots with speed and a remarkable degree of precision considering who is involved. I thought some of the cutoff spots down the stretch here were really brilliant with Sandman catching Sabu with an electric chair off of an attempted sprinboard leg lariat, RVD distracting Sandman long enough for a great tope, and Sandman crash burning on a flip senton off a ladder through a table after RVD pulls Sabu away at the last possible second. I could have done without RVD interference leading directly to the finish, but you knew it was coming, and at least Sabu got in a great exclamation point move for the finish. This is similar to Kanemura v. Tanaka in that it is all spots, but it was done so well I think it has to move along.
November 3, 201014 yr comment_5457949 Sabu vs. Sandman Solid Nomination - FanCam 12-13-97 - This was weird. Sabu was clearly wrestling as a sympathetic character with his bandaged jaw and reckless abandon but he had RVD and Fonzie on the outside helping him with his dirty work. There were some really cool spots with the ladder but also a WTF? Moment when Sandman clearly slammed the ladder in the back of Sabu but Sabu just rolls into the ring anyway. I thought that the 2nd table spot where Sabu put Sandman through with a legdrop was overkill after the 1st spot where Sandman went through the table after flipping from the ladder. Anyway, this was fun but nothing I would call must have and don’t see fighting for it being on the set so I vote no.

Sandman looked good here and he hit his stuff well so that was a plus. The spots with the tables and the ladders were good and even with RVD's interference this match should move forward.
