Posted August 28, 201015 yr comment_5455070 This was very similar to their match from the other Queens show. Lots of big shots from both guys with everything well executed. From memory, this had more stuff in the ring and less on the floor and I thought the use of nearfalls was a lot less over the top here. Tanaka really only knows one speed and this is it but this was as good an exhibition of that style as you are likely to see. I can't see any case for including both of the matches on the set, but offhand I'm not sure which one is better so I am nominating this as well.
November 4, 201014 yr comment_5457981 Balls Mahoney v. Masato Tanaka Low End Nomination - FanCam 8-20-98 - I think I like the PPV match between the two better. This had the energy and hard cahir shots you expect in a Tanaka match but I think there are some Awesome-Tanaka matches that showcase the style better and better Balls matches. This was fun but I vote no.
