Tiger Mask IV v. Great Sasuke

I thought this was pretty fucking good. There is some pretty boss matwork at the beginning. Mask is attacking the leg so there aren't many highspots early which of course leads the assholes to chant boring. I really liked the spot where Sasuke missed a top rope knee even if the assholes chanted "you fucked up." The big spots are well built to and when they do come they look really great. Loved all of the dives in this, especially Sasuke Special and I even though the Jason/Justin Credible distraction was worth it because Jason ate a nasty plancha and it set up the Tiger Mask IV teaser with the blindside dive which I totally bought as a way for him to steal a cheap win. Nearfall segment was really great to and the Powerbomb finish was stiff as fuck and definitely the exclamation point. I really can't think of an argument for not passing this match on.

Jerry Lynn v. Chris Chetti

There were some blown spots in this and the beginning was boring, but all total this was better than expected. Chetti took some good bumps, Lynn's dive looked good and the nearfall segment wasn't a total disaster. Not really a good match but tolerable and tolerable with this pairing is pretty good.

Justin Credible v. Tommy Dreamer

Boy the pre-match pissed me off as Jason ran his mouth forever and Nicole Bass destroyed Pablo Marquez which deprived me of a Pablo Marquez match. In some ways Dreamer is a perfect opponent for Credible as he is charismatic and always moving forward so Credible can pinball for him at will. Unfortunately this turns into a Beulah abduction angle match involving Pitbulls because this was pretty good up until that point.

Brakkus v. Paul Diamond

Diamond squashed. Post-match Taz comes out and ends up jumped by Sabu/Van Dam which brings out Dreamer, Sandman and Al Snow

Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney v. FBI v. Chris Candido/Lance Storm

Man the early Smothers and Candido exchange is so much fun as Smothers just lights Candido up. This is a totally wild affair right from the jump and if you are going to run a three way dance that is probably the best way to do it. Lots of fun stuff in this including a good FBI nearfall on Balls, a couple of good springboard spots, et. Then the FBI get eliminated first and I really lose some interest. Match sort of falls apart at that point as it goes from being a match about action to being a match about Candido not wanting to help Storm. I liked Axl and Balls throughout but overall this was pretty flat.

Bubba Dudley/D-Von Dudley v. Spike Dudley/New Jack

The New Jack/Spike promo earlier was really funny. They hit the Dudz with a bong that New Jack may have hit before using it. Then Bubba tries to use the lighter to burn Jack's face. Crowd brawling. Dudes hit with stuff. Spike takes a grater. Spike takes a crazy powerbomb. New Jack's music plays. Yep.

Tommy Dreamer/Sandman/Taz/Al Snow v. Doug Furnas/Phil Lafon/Rob Van Dam/Sabu

There were some really cool spots in this but there were also big spots where guys were literally just standing around with "what next?" expressions on their faces. Whole match builds to a Brakkus v. Taz showdown..you have got to be kidding.. Ugh.
