Posted August 29, 201015 yr comment_5455121 I thought this was pretty fucking good. There is some pretty boss matwork at the beginning. Mask is attacking the leg so there aren't many highspots early which of course leads the assholes to chant boring. I really liked the spot where Sasuke missed a top rope knee even if the assholes chanted "you fucked up." The big spots are well built to and when they do come they look really great. Loved all of the dives in this, especially Sasuke Special and I even though the Jason/Justin Credible distraction was worth it because Jason ate a nasty plancha and it set up the Tiger Mask IV teaser with the blindside dive which I totally bought as a way for him to steal a cheap win. Nearfall segment was really great to and the Powerbomb finish was stiff as fuck and definitely the exclamation point. I really can't think of an argument for not passing this match on.
November 18, 201014 yr comment_5458412 The Great Sasuke vs. Tiger Mask IV (12/26/97) This was a really good match that was hampered by the NY mutants in the crowd but the wrestlers overcame it and still was on point. Jason & Credible came out to distract Sasuke but they would fail in the end leading to a good stretch run and finish with Sasuke coming out on top. This moves forward easily.
December 8, 201014 yr comment_5459979 Great Sasuke vs. Tiger Mask IV (12/26/97) - Early on, weird mix of mat work and a few spots sprinkled in between. This is the M-Pro tribute to NJ Juniors wrestling. Well TM4 works on Sasuke’s leg and he tries to sell it the best he can. Man, that Sapce Drop is so insane but it would have helped if Sasuke actually connected. Oh hell, what is Credible doing out there? Well, that was odd. Nice ending where Sasuke just murders TM but there were some annoying things in the match that kept me from fully supporting the nomination. Low-level at best. EDIT: Dylan said he couldn't think of an argument for not passing on this one. I can think of a few... Cool work in the beginning that didn't go anywhere (compare to Jericho-Shane); mindless run-in from Credible; Almost whiffed the Space Tiger Drop; Stretch run was too short.
