Posted August 31, 201015 yr comment_5455200 I actually like the contrast here as Devito seems legit befuddled by Merced. It was like watching Funk v. Poffo from 85 WWF with Devito getting pissed off at Merced's flippy stuff. Merced was a fucking beast here. He was just destroying Devito and Billy Wiles with strikes and big dives. The inside out senton was particularly brutal, but all of his stuff looked both dynamic and vicious which is not an easy combo. I actually liked Devito's power offense a lot in this too as it was super stiff and hate filled. Even the interference spots sort of added to this, especially after Devito appeared to blow his shoulder. There have been better matches, and this was short, but this would be a good random undercard match to toss on the set and add some flavor.
November 26, 201014 yr comment_5458740 Mosco de la Merced vs. Tony Devito (7/3/99) Mosco looked great here flipping around hitting big spots while Devito was completely flustered with this and wanted to just beat Mosco's ass which he would do eventually. Mosco would win in the end but Devito gave a good account for himself and I think this is a low-end nomination.
