Posted August 31, 201015 yr comment_5455220 Bad Crew v. Bubba Dudley/Hack Myers Bubba and hack come in and look legitimately pissed off at the existence of Bad Crew. Finish is fuzzy but this was a steamrolling. Johnny Smith v. Super Nova Smith stretching Nova was pretty fun in the beginning and then Nova goes on offense and his shit looks so fucking terrible. Just fucking awful. Little Guido v. Taz J.t. tries to pay off Alfonzo pre-match and ends up taking a suplex on his head for his troubles. Taz squash. Mikey Whipwreck/Louie Spicolli v. Doug Furnas/Phil Lafon Holy fuck the Can Ams just steamroll Mikey here. He's in the for the bulk of this and gets virtually nothing in. Furnas and Lafon take turns stiffing him with strikes, tying him into pretzels and nailing him with big stuff. Spicolli comes in once and is treating as an equal, but Mikey is working this like he's a WTBS jobber and amazingly I actually really enjoy the match in part because of this. After the hot tag Mikey tries to get cute and hit a dive and Lafon drops him on his fucking ribs on the guardail. Gotta love the fact that Spicolli eats the fall after the shit Mikey went through here. Too one sided to be nomination worthy - especially because Spicolli didn't look good at all - but this would have been a fun competitive squash in 1985. Devon Storm v. Steve Williams Doc squashes Storm. Would have liked more brutality, but this was okay. Samu/Shane Douglas v. Gangstas Man this is the show of burials as Samu gets shit all over here with Douglas bailing on him and turning on him post match. Perry Saturn v. Pitbull 2 Watching these guys badly botch relatively easy shit was pretty funny. In hindsight people thinking Saturn was ever good is pretty hysterical. I have no clue what the obsession with having him and Pitbull 2 work so long was either. Ugh. Raven/Brian Lee v. Tommy Dreamer/Sandman This wasn't any good, but Sandman's blade job was nasty and his pinfall got a nice pop so I can't shit on it too much. Pretty pedestrian. Rob Van Dam v. Sabu This was middle of the pack for a match between these two. I really liked the DDT spot and the Sabu rana off the ropes. The rest of this was pretty much a greatest hits collection with some shit hit well and some shit hit poorly. Not terrible and not as needlessly long as some of their other matches, but nothing worth seeking out.
