Posted September 2, 201015 yr comment_5455274 Roadkill/Danny Doring v. Rhino/Skull Von Krush This is JIP and it is really unclear hw much of the match is lost. What is shown is okay. Lance Storm v. Chris Chetti Relatively quick match. The wide angle helps this a lot as we aren't subjected to a close up look at how bad these guys strikes are. Okay. Little Guido v. Nova This was okay. Nova took some big bumps and got squashed like a bug by Sal E. elbow through a table. Guido looked fairly sharp here. Post-match Tajiri run-in was pretty cool. Tom Marquez v. Steve Corino Corino mocks Taz pre-match which brings him out to cause a no contest and leads to... Taz v. Chris Candido This was really stiff. Both guys were just tagging each other with strikes and Candido got dumped on his fucking head a few times. Basically a squash of Candido. Super Crazy v. Taka Minchinoku I really didn't care for this. I know being a cavalier douche is sort of Taka's gimmick, but I thought really bled over into the work here as he just seemed to be going through the motions in a really non-chalant way offensively. Some of his bumping was really hammy and ridiculous too. I couldn't call this bad, but for Super Crazy spotfest this isn't even near the top of the heap. Justin Credible v. Sabu Lots of bullshit pre-match including Sid killing some poor guy. The crowd is super hot for this even during a lengthy dueling camel clutches spot. Match never really seemed to end either. No fucking clue what happened to be honest. Sid v. Rod Price Do I even have to tell you what happened here? D-Von Dudley/Bubba Dudley v. Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney (Falls Count Anywhere) This was a really hot brawl but the camera angle precludes you from seeing a lot of the early action which is too bad. Mahoney was one of the better guys when it came to working "on the ropes" spots with the Dudleyz and I thought he really made you believe here. Sign Guy gets a fireball and no sells it and Balls eventually gets powerbombed through a tack covered flaming table. This was pretty good but I feel like we lost too much of it to rate it. Spike Dudley v. Rob Van Dam Early spot with Van Dam taking a bow after a move only for Spike to roll him up with a forward nelson of some sorts was pretty sweet. Boy the camera angles are really hurting this card as it's pretty much impossible to tell what is going on once they hit the floor. I believe this was taped for tv, so this well have a chance to be explored further once I get ahold of the 99 season. What can be made of the matc is another really great Spike performances with Van Dam selling better than normal for Spikes stuff. The end of this disc has a Storm v. Dreamer and Credible v. Douglas match from an unknown show. Neither are nomination worthy fwiw.
