Posted September 2, 201015 yr comment_5455281 This was pretty great. There were some spots in this that were somewhat contrived, but they looked to good to give a shit. Seriously Scorp getting monkey flipped into the crowd and then taking a bridged table splash and then blocking a table spot with a outside in front kick is too awesome to shit on just because it was a bit telegraphed. They really did an awesome job building this one and segmenting it in an orderly fashion with Scorp getting the first part and Sabu the second. Loved the Sabu comeback off of the inside out rana through the bridged table which looked nasty as fuck and really organic too. Scorp really didn't unload a huge amount of his offense, but what he did looked good including a really brutal looking back elbow. I enjoyed the finish here as it was a draw but it was well teased with Sabu unable to make timely covers after two huge moonsaults because his momentum carried him to the floor. Good stuff.
November 3, 201014 yr comment_5457943 Too Cold Scorpio v. Sabu Easy Nomination - FanCam 4-19-96 - I know Sabu once said he would miss spots on purpose to make matches more “real”. Well, forget that noise. Anyway, this had some cool stuff going on. The battle outside where it looked like the table was bending and going to collapse under the weight of the wrestlers ended jp with some cool visuals leading to a Scorpio control segment that ends with Sabu reversing a powerbomb into one of his own. Later on, I wished they would have kept it in the ring since the outside brawling didn’t do anything for me but they made it up with Sabu kicking Scorpio into the guardrail and they finally pay off the table spot with Sabu delivering a rana to Scorp through the table. Fun stuff. Nice stretch run of trading big moves with Sabu putting Scorp thorugh a chair with a DDT but going outside to sell the knee looked stupid. I understand it protected his moonsault but it still bothered me. Either way, what a great match and a definite inclusion on the set.
November 9, 201014 yr comment_5458126 ECW World TV Title: 2 Cold Scorpio © vs. "Homicidal, Suicidal, & Genocidal" Sabu (4/19/96) This was what you would want from these two as it was a great spotfest with both men going all out hitting big dives and big moves trying to put the other away but neither could come out on top leading to the finish where they go to a time limit draw which was rare in ECW. Solid match and an easy nomination.
