Credible backing off and running away from Smothers is funny as shit. Seriously Credible working a stalling gimmick in a match where the opposition is Smothers and Rich is fucking hysterical. Credible wildly running from Smothers babyface offensive explosions was even better. Smothers just morphs into a natural babyface so easily, firing up and taking the big bump off of Jason interference to set up the heel control segment. Smothers utilizing his wild theatric bumps as a babyface and smacking the mat to get the crowd fired up for his comeback attempt were just really awesome and a neat departure fromt he usual ECW act he had. There was some sloppy execution in this but it was really fun and fresh and I thought both guys were excellent at doing the things they had to do to make a unique match like this work.
October 21, 201014 yr comment_5457493 Justin Credible v. Tracy Smothers Solid Nomination - FanCam 3-27-99 - The two guys me and Gabe really disagree on. After Rich and Credible finished jawing on the mic, we get down to business and Smothers produces some nice offense and is the de facto babyface in a heel vs. heel match. Credible gains control after tossing Smothers over the top rope. Credible’s offense isn’t lighting my world on fire. I don’t mind a headlock or ab stretch when it looks like you are damaging a body part but Credible sort of just applies them to apply them. Nie stretch run with Smothers’ kicks, Justin missing some flying attempts and a nice back and forth. Man, I just don’t see the appeal in Credible. The heat was hurt with the heel vs. heel structure and I don’t think this will light anyone’s world on fire if on the set. No vote.
November 24, 201014 yr comment_5458645 Justin Credible vs. Tracy Smothers (3/27/99) The FBI has no split into two factions with the real Italians against the fake ones but it doesn't matter because Rich & Smothers are awesome. This is quite the matchup as Smothers is normally a heel but works babyface here although Rich is still Rich on the mic and thank God for that. I agree with Dylan on Credible stalling here against Rich & Smothers is great to watch as Credible was effective as a chickenshit heel and Rich/Smothers played off of it greatly. Smothers carried Credible big time in the ring here as Justin's ringwork was nothing compared to his schtick here so Smothers had to bump and sell his ass off to make Credible look good. The finish was nice as well and I am behind this as a nomination because it proves that Sapolsky is a fuckin idiot for thinking that Credible was this great worker and Smothers was just mid-level because it was the exact opposite here. Smothers rules and this is a nomination.
