Posted September 4, 201015 yr comment_5455312 Original FBI v. D-Von Dudley/Bubba Dudley J.T. and Guido following all over each other and getting tossed around was pretty entertaining. I'm not a big fan of stuttering Bubba the character, but he could work then and was pretty good at making the still fresh D-Von look like a brutal monster in this. J.T. hiding behind the ref and pointing at his chin begging D-Von to tag him was funny. For some reason D-Von refuses to use weapons which Bubba keeps trying to give to him so of course the heels take over on D-Von as a result. Bubba ends up tagging in after absolutely no build. He ends up playing FIP which isn't shocking but man this is weirdly disjointed match. Post-match the FBI beatdown the Dudz. Totally bizarre match and segment. Taz v. Axl Rotten Axl was really good in this. He did a great job getting across all of Taz's submissions and matwork as painful and credible and really laid it in tightly when he was on offense. Axl ends up getting choked out after missing a splash and amazingly Taz does a good job of making this look like a last burst of energy. Good sprint. Raven v. Hack Myers Raven pearl harbors him and Myers sells. He gets a quick comeback and looks like he is about to hit his finish but Raven pulls back and he collapses , gets DDT'ed and pinned. Decent little match. New Jack v. Too Cold Scorpio This is New Jack in a relatively straight match. There is crowd brawling and prop spots, but a big portion of this is Scorp controlling New Jack with shit. Jack makes his comeback with weapons. Eventually the Elimins run in after a ref bump. Well they tried. Chris Jericho v. Mikey Whipwreck This was JIP but I don't think much was cut. Jericho is stretching Mikey early with matwork and it's obvious that he's working heel. He ends up beating Mikey up pretty bad and burying him in chairs. Really love Mikey's bumps and his punches in this as they looked super sharp and filled with impact. Speaking of bumps, Jericho's header over the post to set up the Mikey comeback was really great. Would have liked to see Mikey get in some more offense during his run, but everything he did looked good and Jericho took it well. Finishing suplex looked really sweet also. This is better than their match that made the SC top 100 so I'm passing it through. Damian v. Sabu About what you would expect, with some really cool looking shit mixed amidst a bunch of...shit. This was way too fucking long which was the big problem. If they had condensed their shit into a six minute match it probably could have worked. Shane Douglas v. Rob Van Dam Holy fuck what a terrible match this was. Van Dam took a couple of cool bumps onto the guardrail but this went on forever and went absolutely nowhere. Both guys at their absolute worst. Brian Lee v. Tommy Dreamer Another shitty match. This was lots of meandering with no cool spots, nothing that made it look or feel realistic and an awful finish. Crap.
