Rob Van Dam v. El Puerto Ricano

This was JIP. RVD gives Ricano a little bit and hits his usual shit. Okay.

Axl Rotten v. Taz

Another JIP match. What's show is virtually identical to the match the week before though not as well done.

Pitbull 2 v. Bubba Dudley

I did appreciate some of Bubba's big bumps in this and the spot where they took turns trying (and ultimately succeeding) to break a bathroom stall was pretty fun, but the match sucked and the multiple run-ins were really poorly executed shit.

Raven v. Mikey Whipwreck

All kinds of pre-match hijinks with the stooges and J.T. Smith. Mikey eventually gets fed up with it and tosses them around and vaults onto Nova which of course leads to Raven murdering him with some shots into the guardrail. I thought the booking of this was utterly bizarre as they did a bunch of mini-comebacks for Mikey and then Raven who was visibly blown up would settle down into a headlock or something. Mikey was great selling and his mini-comebacks were cool, but then they did this weird bit where Mikey kicked out of a DDT from Raven and then a DDT on a chair. I have no beef with wanting to put over Mikey strong, but that seemed really bizarre and his offensive comeback coming after that really took me out of the match even if the execution was fairly good. Mikey was pretty awesome in this, but the structure was just shit.

John Kronus v. Mustapha

This was ill advised. They would have been better off in a pure brawl and instead had an oddly straight match. Run-ins ensued at the end.

Too Cold Scorpio v. Chris Jericho

This started off slow and I thought the opening matwork here was pretty sloppy and not terribly interesting but it built and built and eventually you realized that this was a really good match. Scorp's matches tend to go this way but this had a really unique feel as Scorp seemed to work stiffer and stiffer and almost get irritated at Jericho's offensive attempts. Jericho ends up with a nasty shiner and really shows some fire during his comeback. They sort of botch a key nearfall on this but it actually makes the match work even more as Scorp gets legitimately pissed and starts bickering with the ref. Scorp's backflip kick looked brutal, his splashes looked really violent and any time someone gets finished off by Scorp dropping the bomb I'm happy.

Shane Douglas v. Bad Crew

Squash after Douglas is embarrassed by Scorp and Jericho.

Brian Lee v. Tommy Dreamer (Falls Count Anywhere)

Dreamer really busts his ass here taking huge bumps into the chairs and onto table for Lee. Really loved the segment outside with Dreamer and Lee brawling into someone's front yard and Dreamer taking a pinball bump into a stop sign that sends it spinning. The finish hurt this too much to include it, but I liked this overall.
