Posted September 4, 201015 yr comment_5455319 Boy I loved this more than I should have. Early this is all Guido bailing and stalling after Taz takes him on the mat. This is great stalling as Taz is getting pissed, so the crowd is getting pissed and Rich is there ringside to get the place really going bananas. Taz gets on the mic and shit talks and Rich goes fucking nuts on the apron which of course leads to Guido taking over. Guido control segment is a lot of fun as Taz actually works as a traditional babyface with mini-comebacks, good selling and a fired up comeback for the finish. Of course Smothers and Rich were freely interfering and working the ref the whole time which again just made this better. Rich takes an awesome and nutty bump right before the finish. This is a really great performance from the FBI and one of the better Taz matches I've ever seen that wasn't worked as a tough guy v. tough guy brawl or heavily gimmicked.
November 3, 201014 yr comment_5457944 Little Guido v. Taz Low End Nomination - FanCam 10-11-97 - Guido flicking off the crowd while in an arm wringer was amusing. I really like the dynamic of all FBI members interfering to give freaking GUIDO a shot at pulling off the upset. I am so used to Taz just choking out people that this was a pleasant surprise. I even liked the suplex-erific fnish when Taz finally puts Guido out with the Tazmission. I liked this more than Dylan but I don’t know if it strong enough to go on the set as a personal pick. I’ll keep it in my love category and see what Kris says. Solid Nomination. EDIT: REading Dylan's comments, I don't know if I did like it more. Seems wierd since he has it low-end.
November 17, 201014 yr comment_5458395 "Human Suplex Machine" Taz vs. Little Guido (10/11/97) Taz vs. FBI what can go wrong here as it is a total difference of styles that Taz is used to as he didn't work the comedy heels often but with Guido you also have a guy who can go move for move with Taz on the mat. Taz normally destroys his opponents or works matches like his Sabu series but this is so unlike that as it's like Taz has gone to Memphis and he adapted well being a really good babyface worker here surrounded by chickenshit heels. The psychology here was great as you wanted to see Taz destroy the FBI which he does with Rich taking an awesome bump and finishes off Guido to win. I fucking loved this and this to me is a definite nomination.
