Mikey Whipwreck v. Jerry Lynn

I really liked this a great deal. Mikey was great here and I really liked Lynn in his role as the guy trying to slow down and ground Mikey. The leg an arm work in this really didn't go anywhere but it was well done and was a good bridge between runs of big spots. The ranas and other big exchanges looked really good and fluid early and I thought the stuff they built to looked even better. Loved Mikey's ringpost assisted rana on the floor and the fucking bump he took of the apron when Lynn took over on offense was insane. Lynn then hit a really sick plancha and atomic dropped Mikey in a seated chair before hitting a clothesline which was also a really cools sequence with Mikey bumping and selling his ass off. Lynn countering the attempted stunner from the top with headbutts and then a huge diving bulldog was a great spot as was Mikey's desperation stunner that ended up getting him the pinfall. Unlike their other really good match from Queens, this was not a sprint. It was really well paced and seemed more developed on first watch than damn near any match I've seen with Lynn so far. A nice deviation from what you usually saw out of him and a good match to boot.

Chris Chetti v. Tracy Smothers

FBI keeps helping Smothers early so this leads to.

Blue Meanie/Super Nova/Chris Chetti v. FBI

This was solid but probably one of the least impressive FBI matches I've seen overall. Pretty much the staple spots from their feud with meanie and Nova. Nova's FIP was okay but I really wanted to see Rich get more in and I didn't feel like this did anything to stand out from the pack.

Lance Storm v. Chris Candido

Candido was pretty good in this. There was a really stiff strike exchange early and I dug how Candido seemed to be running through Storm's offense. Okay.

Mike Awesome/Balls Mahoney v. D-Von Dudley/Bubba Dudley

I thought it was cool how this was set up as a sort of clash of the titans match up. Balls gets ambushed pre-match and Awesome makes the save. The trading no selling of powerbombs was over the top but set the tone well. Awesome hit some big stuff early and then ended up working FIP. He was surprisingly good in that role. Balls hot tag was well done and led to a run of pretty exciting stuff. Not a great match but it was pretty fun.

Tommy Dreamer/New Jack/John Kronus v. Danny Doring/Jason/Jack Victory

Really short garbage match proceeded by a lot of mic work.

Shane Douglas v. Sabu

This sucked and led to a run-in from the triple threat.
