J.T. ambushes hack before the bell. Hack selling his ass off for J.T. is kind of funny, but also pretty awesome. Shah makes his comeback attempt and J.T. drops him and cuts it off which made me smile. This is a really well worked match as J.T. antagonizes the ref after every Hack near fall. He also hits some pretty neat offense including a diving headbutt onto Hack on the floor. Hack makes a second comeback off of a DDT and J.T. is reeling including a 360 bump off of a clothesline. Back on the floor J.T. takes back over with some cheapshots and beats the Shah down with some stiff chairshots, a nasty post shot and sweet punch on the floor. Back in the ring Hack makes another comeback with a brutal elbow strike, but J.t. counters by backing away from a gulliotine legdrop attempt. J.T. sprints toward him on the apron and gets hit with a devastating forearm smash. They do a really cool spot in the corner for the finish as J.T. sort of fights to get away from Hack and ends up dropped by his reverse cattle branding/double knee drop for the pin. I thought this was a pretty awesome little match for two undercard guys with no real character or angles to work with.

"The Shah" Hack Myers vs. "Italian Stallion" JT Smith (12/28/95)

 

These two have been feuding for the past few months and this was maybe the best match I've seen in their feud. JT was getting awesome here doing his entire act as his work in the ring was improving to go with his great schtick and he was a great opponent for the hard hitting Hack. This had some really solid action by both men and I liked it a lot so it moves forward.

JT Smith vs. Hack Myers (12/28/95)

- I didn’t expect Smith to take so much of the match early on. Then again, I am not sure where these guys were on the pecking order at the time. Anyway, I am not getting the solid nom vibe… more of a “This was fun” vibe. The short stretch run was fun though and had some brutal spots. I’ll pass on the nomination though.
