Louie Spicolli v. Steve Richards

I thought this was a really solid opener from the perspective that it seemed to get the crowd going and they it a lot of their shit very well. I really hated the Nova and Meanie interference in this as I thought it hurt the flow of the match. Still the back and fourth stuff with the finishers at the end was surprisingly well executed and overall this was a good match.

Too Cold Scorpio v. Davey Morton (Kid Kash)

So I thought the bulk of this was pretty great. The early stand off exchanges were sort of silly since they were working through the reversals so fast that they didn't mean anything. But after that point the meat of this was really incredible. Loved Kash out-highspotting Scorp with a couple of massive dives to the floor, one deep into the crowd. Scorp getting annoyed with all of his stuff was awesome too as he just unloads on Kash with brutal shit including a gutbuster, a sick powerbomb, a nasty jump kick and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. He also hit a great and really impactful float over dive to the floor. Kash's comeback rana and subequent Scorp punt was really cool. They flubbed a few things after that but I didn't mind it as much because Scorp did a pretty good job covering for the errors. Kash's comeback was a little flat, but Scorp killing him with a moonsault and 450 for the finish made up for it. This was on it's way to being great when some stuff at the end took it down a peg or two. Still nomination worthy.

Erotic Experience v. Big Dick Dudley

This match sounds like the name of a shitty porn. Dick gets his leg worked over early but wins with the double chokeslam and then gets attacked by Axl and D-Von.

Brian Lee v. Pitbull 2

Kept short and tolerable.

D-Von Dudley/Axl Rotten v. Spike Dudley/Bubba Dudley

Disappointing match. The camera was fixed on Bubba and D-Von throughout which meant the entire focus was on the insane number of sickening chairshots they gave each other and not Spike's work with Axl which was almost assuredly better. Spike hits a couple of cool highspots, but this should have been better.

Pitbull 2 v. Pittsburgh Steel Team

Squash. Whole point of it was to set up post match angle where Pitbull got chokeslammed off of a box truck through two tables.

Raven v. Mikey Whipwreck

Mikey Fargo struts with Stevie and friends before bulldogging them. The opening of this one is good as Raven tries to take over with a headlock and Mikey breaks up with some big ranas and then dives on all the flock before Raven cuts him off and sends him into the steel. Of course this devolves into overbooked Raven bullshit with the flock all running in and Mikey having to fight them off. Also Raven's offense is fucking dogshit in this match.

Shane Douglas v. Tommy Dreamer

The pacing in this was more methodical than I expected as usually these two work a balls to the wall style. Tommy takes a fucking crazy headbump on a powerbomb into a seated chair and then Douglas hits a suplex through the same chair. Boy the dueling belly-to-belly attempts were lame as fuck in this. Allso Dreamer usually sells fairly well, but his selling sucked ass in this one. Brian Lee eventually runs out and kills this dead.

Too Cold Scorpio v. Sandman

Scorp ambushes Sandman to start this. This was a really back and fourth type of match, but the selling was sustained throughout which made it a much better match than normal for a match of that ilk. Lots of cool shit in this including a Scorp Koppo kick (though the camera angle kinda sucked on that), Scorp punching Sandman right in the face, Scorp hitting a sick plancha and a couple of really cool table spots. I really didn't buy the finish even though it looked pretty good and I thought this could have gone for a couple of more highspots from both guys, but it was a good match.

Gangstas v. Eliminators v. Sabu/Rob Van Dam

Actually as far as clusterfucks go this was a lot of fun. The Gangstas got a savage beatdown early which brings out Sabu and RVD who just work a total stunt show of a middle part with the Elims including several spots with an unbreakable table, some crazy dives, et. Gangstas come back out and shit gets crazier for a few minutes until the finish. This was pretty enjoyable for what it was.
