Posted September 9, 201015 yr comment_5455470 GQ Gorgeous v. Roadkill Gorgeous is Chetti under a mask. This is basically a house of hardcore trainee match as they work through a bunch of really basic stuff early. Chetti is managed by JT Smith who trips up Roadkill to set up the control segment. Again this is pretty much all basic work but I thought it was decent. Steve Richards v. Chris Candido This was okay. The execution of the stuff was really good, but this was basically Candido working a bunch of misdirection/comedy spots with the BWO, building to him beating Stevie with his own finish. Some really well done stuff, but you really hoped it would be a straight match and it wasn't. Louie Spicolli v. Brian Lee Spicolli blades big again. Crowd brawling is limited but spirited. Table bump was a mere suplex but it was really effective. I also liked Spicolli launching a chair into Lee's head when he came off the ropes. Then Spicolli killed the ref with a Spicolli driver because he was blinded and Lee counted he three which was actually kind of clever. Finish via chokeslam right after. Pitbull 2 v. Rob Van Dam Silly shit early but it leads to Van Dam taking a crazy bump on his head. Van Dam hits a couple of crazy dives. They fuck up a spot or two and then 2 hits a press slam into tombstone that looks sick. Van Dam has a run of chair assisted offense and Pitbull 2 ends up hitting the same move on a chair for a nearfall. Crowd brawling is nearly all missed by the camera. Pitbull 2 goes through a table and Douglas comes out and the match is over. I liked the big spots in this which is better than nothing. Gangstas v. Mass Transit/D-Von Dudley Man this was hard to watch. I had seen this before years ago but I had forgotten how horrible it was. The worst part is the kids dad as he sees the blade and immediately starts screaming for them to ring the bell and yelling about how the kid is seventeen. Bubba Dudley/Spike Dudley v. Eliminators God damn Spike his awesome. He makes a missed kick into legsweep spot look brutal here. Then makes a John Kronus spinkick look non-shitty on the very next spot. Hey this is pretty good...great feinstein's camera dies and we miss almost all of the match. Fuck Tommy Dreamer v. Shane Douglas JIP. Highly probable that there is a shit ton of this missing as it jumps in and both guys already look winded and they are already working nearfalls. From what is shown this looks like it might have been respectable. Raven v. Sandman (Chain Match) Sandman was savagely beaten for the vast majority of this. He looked to have bled big and sold well, but the camera angle fucking sucked hard in this one. I did like the Meanie tablesault nearfall a lot. Flash pin sucked.
