Posted September 10, 201015 yr comment_5455498 I really liked the opening exchanges with Spike working roll ups, Mikey being an asshole, and some pretty nice body shots. Mikey did a weird windmill spot where he dropped Spike face first on the corner that looked cool but lacked impact and was actually probably a well covered up botch. Mikey ties Spike up like a pretzel and then drops him face first on the guardrail out of a wheelbarrow position. Mikey ends up taking a ridiculous flat back dive into the guardrail and then eating a top rope chair dive from Spike. Man this is like a replay of the Sabu match as these guys are really dishing it out. Spike takes Mikey onto the TNN set, throws him down the stairs and dives off onto him. Spike takes maybe the only good looking floatover stunner I've ever seen for a really good nearfall. Finish is a misdirection spot with Mitchell leading to a flash Acid Drop for three. I liked this a lot.
October 24, 201014 yr comment_5457562 Mikey Whipwreck v. Spike Dudley Solid Nomination - FanCam 2-4-00 - Nice shine section for Spike with the roll-ups and Mikey getting upset. What looked like a typical twirling rana spot turns into a cool way for Spike’s face to end up on the turnbuckle. I think I like fat heel Mikey but Minister is really subdued here. Spike making a comeback although Mikey’s bump into the rail looked really contrived. Ugh, Spike’s leap from the small stage wasn’t better after whispering sweet nothings into Mikey’s ear. They pick things up in the ring after losing me on the outside. Spike wins with the Dudley Dog. I liked the match but some of the stuff outside was not good. I’ll go with a low-level nomination but this isn’t anywhere near the PG-13 tag. On a loaded set, I can let this go.
November 29, 201014 yr comment_5458864 Spike Dudley vs. Mikey Whipwreck (2/4/00) Mikey is a heel now so this matchup is different than in the past. I love how Jim Mitchell isn't in his Sinister Minister attire but looks like an evil college professor on casual Friday. This had a lot of wrestling to start the match which was good before it turned into a brawl on the outside with the big bumps which was expected. The stretch run was okay and I can back this as a low-level at best.
