Posted September 15, 201015 yr comment_5455698 Baba/Tenryu vs. Ueda/Tsurumi - Ueda and Tsurumi spent a lot of time working over Tenryu with dirty tactics, but they were were just so fucking boring that the match had no shot. Tiger Mask vs. Buddy Roberts - Buddy came out with Confederate flag face paint, which was awesome in a random way. But All-Japan wasn't the right place for him to get over all the little touches that made him so great in World Class. Misawa did a lot of flipping around to little effect. His finishing German suplex looked nice, but otherwise, not a good performance for him. They didn't quite click. Jumbo/Kabuki vs. Gordy/Hayes - Hayes kept strutting along the apron to zero reaction from the fans. He finally got a mild pop for moonwalking across the ring. This actually turned into a decent match with the Birds playing Southern heels, cutting the ring off on a busted-open Jumbo. Kabuki looked good off the hot tag with his uppercuts and superkicks. Unfortunately, this ended with a particularly shitty DQ. I'm not even sure what it was for. I guess Gordy and Hayes double teamed for too long.
