Posted September 17, 201015 yr comment_5455841 Kerry Von Erich vs. Inoue - First six minutes were clipped. Decent match, with Inoue trying his fast-paced offense on Kerry only to get caught in the claw. But they didn't do anything to make me regret the missing action. Stan Hansen/Ron Bass vs. Terry Funk/Genichiro Tenryu - Hansen stiffed the hell out of Terry early and the two of them got into a bit of their trademark brawling. Pretty good finish as well, with Tenryu rushing in to save Terry with a couple of enzuigiris only to eat a surprise lariat from Hansen that led to a countout. This was on the right track but needed more development, more chaos, more somehing to become a nomination. Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Ted Dibiase - Slow-building draw in which they started with holds and got to the higher impact stuff at the end. Jumbo put Dibiase's figure four over with some excellent selling, and Ted looked solid in general. That said, this was a heatless match without a staisfying finishing stretch. It just lacked the pizzazz to stand up to the competition on this set.
