Posted September 20, 201015 yr comment_5456026 Inoue vs. Magic Dragon - I've never thought well of Magic Dragon but he was fine here. They did some decent lucha-influenced stuff early. The match dragged a bit when Dragon held Inoue in an armbar for too long, but then he picked up his offense with a superkick, a shoulderblock off the top and a piledriver. I really liked Inoue's finishing counter into a German suplex for the pin. It was nice to see them give the juniors some time, and the crowd got into what they were doing. This is the kind of match I might have nominated at the beginning of the process. But now that I have a good sense of the cutoff point, I see no reason. Hansen vs. Baba - Already reviewed. Hansen vs. McGraw - Bugsy got more offense than I expected but then Hansen just shook it off and took things home with a lariat. Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Dibiase/Brower - Dibiase and Tenryu got in some nice brawling in and out of the ring. But once Jumbo isolated Brower, he finished him off quickly. This never felt like a real contest.
