The Roadie Best part about this was the interactions between Roadie and Thrasher as they both bump big for each other on the floor and jaw back and fourth. Mosh was the guy working and he really looked like the prop in this. PG-13 v. Bobby Blayze/Robert Gibson PG-13 stalling and dancing around is always fun and this leads to the opening rope running exchange with Ice and Gibson which of course Ice loses with a theatrical flare. Ice gets manhandled some more and Blayze holding off both members of PG-13 with a karate pose to set up the inevitable Ice karate schtick in return was wonderful. Blayze looks really sharp in his exchange with Wolfie. Robert works FIP after missing a corner charge and going shoulder first into the post. Gibson is a good FIP here and PG-13 does a good job building the heat, including a really good hot tag that Curtis misses. Hot tag after missed flip dive from Wolfie and then Blayze eats a hubcap shot after a short babyface run. This was good and I am tempted to push it through because it's Gibson and peril and I'm not sure how much we'll see that, but on merit I can't see this being strong enough or unique enough to make the set. Al Snow/Unabomb v. Tracy Smothers/Dirty White Boy Al Snow selling his back after every small offensive victory over Smothers was a curious way to start this. Smothers ends up firing back with standard babyface explosion which both the heels bump well for. Snow keeps bailing out of the ring, running around the building, grabbing the mic, et. to kill time. I know some people like Snow from this period, and he worked hard here but a lot of his stuff came across as almost over acting to me even though i don't think you could call it bad. DWB is FIP here and is not bad, but I don't think the heels did enough compelling work to really make this stand out. Finish looked weak here as well. Terry Gordy/Tommy Rich v. Mongolian Stomper/Boo Bradley Boo and Rich brawl around ringside early with props, dumping trash all over the place. Stomper is so limited here that he's not going to bring much, but Gordy takes a flip bump for him which was semi-surprising. Boo works FIP and they end up doing multiple sleeper hold spots which they milk fairly well. Curtis misses the hot tag due to Rich antics and they hit Boo with a chain for the finish. Dirty White Boy/Tracy Smothers v. The Heavenly Bodies I thought this was a good showing by all four guys but the match as a whole really didn't seem that great. I like DWB, but it seems like Smothers would have been the better choice for "guy who has the heels reeling" in the early going of this. I thought Smothers was a good FIP once he came in, but I didn't think the bodies did a lot of super compelling stuff after the initial takeover spot. Smothers back roll into the hot tag was pretty cool, but there were some strange ring positioning in this and some spots that were pretty telegraphed. Buddy Landel v. Brad Armstrong I loved the stuttering arm wringer spot early with Brad sort of skipping through one tempo at a time and Budro spasming in unison. Buddy takes over with some arm work of his own and Brad is equally great selling and Budro equally great working the hold. God damn Buddy was just immersed in sweat at this point as they go to the mat and he hadn't even done much at this point. They end up building to a pretty stiff looking strike exchange and shortly thereafter there is a ref bump and all hell breaks out with Cornette's Army rushing the ring and beating the shit out of the Armstrongs.
