Posted September 22, 201015 yr comment_5456115 The first part of this is a huge promo packet of sorts hosted by Cornette which is really entertaining and covers a bunch of crazy shit they company had done up to that point. Chris Candido video package followed by Candido cutting anti-Southern promo in Terry Funk voice from his living room. The Heavenly Bodies v. Rock N Roll Express Duplicate match, already watched. Road Warrior Hawk/Tracy Smothers/Bob Armstrong v. Terry Funk/Dory Funk Jr./Bruiser Bedlam (Texas Death Match) This is a weird one. I think Terry Funk and Smothers were both really great in this. Terry was just running around throwing shit, taking crazy bumps, flailing around on the apron, taking big shots from the Bullet, et. Smothers sells his ass off in the early going and really gets the match going offensively when he is in their as well. As a whole I thought the match was awfully low on violence for the gimmick and I really hated the finish. Boo Bradley v. Chris Candido This is JIP but I don't think much is missing. These two have good chemistry as a rule and this match is no exception. Candido takes some big bumps early for Boo including a really great gorilla press. I love Boo just chilling in the corner while Candido bitches to the ref after losing yet another exchange. Candido ends up taking over with a powerbomb off the ropes and then sells it himself by tumbling to the floor which is a staple of his matches with Boo/Balls. There were a couple of solid mini-comeback spots worked in well here which is something both of these guys do really well. Boo's comeback comes off of a good looking powerslam. Finish was Tammy accidentally spraying Chris in the eyes and Boo stealing a win. Pretty good stuff overall. Gangstas v. Heavenly Bodies (Street Fight) The camera angle did not help this one, but I really liked this a whole lot. The Bodies blindside the Gangstas to start this and Cornette is on the floor just tossing weapons into the ring for them to use ala Terry Funk. Mustapha of all people really brought it with big theatrical bumps. Cornette is basically an active participant in this as he is running around pelting D-Lo with stuff and ends up taking some crazy bumps on a table on the floor. There are several dives in this, at least two of which appear to have been on a table. There is just so much stuff going on in this that it is almost impossible to follow, but it is a ton of fun. Finish is crazy with Cornette shooting off a full fire extinguisher all over the place and then blindsiding Jack with a racket shot for a pin. Pretty much a sanctioned race riot/hate crime. Next we have clips of Cornette calling a fan a "Nigger" over and over. Well that was nice. Unabomb/Al Snow v. Rock N Roll Express (Street Fight) Snow and Unabomb ambush the babyfaces as soon as they come out of the dressing room. Sadly this went downhill from there. Not very much in the way of good spots and the brawling wasn't terribly compelling.
