Posted September 24, 201015 yr comment_5456238 Kabuki vs. Tyler - Sluggish match. Tyler brought some generic, rugged U.S. guy offense. Kabuki rallied, without a whole lot of fire, for an easy win. Baba/Steamboat vs. Race/Roberts - JIP. Interesting teams but what made tape consisted almost entirely of Steamboat taking and selling a methodical beating from Race. He finally made a hot tag to Baba, and after 30 seconds of wild action, they pinned Buddy like he was nothing. Despite the potential in this group, the match didn't amount to anything that would draw consideration. Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Hayes/Gordy - The Birds controlled most of the action and failed to do anything as interesting as they did in the nominated match from Jan. against Jumbo and Baba. Way too many chinlocks, though I did enjoy Hayes strutting and moonwalking on the apron while Gordy did his business in the ring. Gordy took out the ref before Jumbo and Tenryu could mount a full rally, so this went down as a disappointment.
