Dirty White Boy v. The Inferno

Total squash for DWB. Funny.

Rock N Roll Express v. Chris Candido/Killer Kyle

I really enjoyed this one. Basically a two part match with the first part being all about Candido getting made to look a fool by the Express. The work is really basic there, but it is well done and Candido was always good for that role. Second part comes when Kyle tags in. Really loved the look he shot Morton, a sort of "I'm not about to put up with that bullshit" stare. Morton gets dumped over the top behind Curtis back and the heels work over him and as he usually he works a really compelling FIP. Candido is great choking him with the ring rope on the floor and Kyle throws a mean elbow to his throat. Lots of times makeshift teams like Kyle and Candido don't work very strong heat segments, but Morton is so great here and they really get the most out of this. Crowd is insanely hot for this match and the hot tag off the big Candido splat bump was well done. Finish was sort of messy in execution but got a huge reaction. This was a very fun, solid match.

The Heavenly Bodies v. Lance Storm/Dirty White Boy

Better than I had expected. I still think these matches go on far too long, but when you are running five match shows it probably makes sense. Crowd is also really hot for this and are leaping around like crazy for Lance during his comeback. Some solid hope spots and Anthony runs out to assist with the hot tag at the end. Overall this was a fun showing.

Tracy Smothers/Bob Armstrong v. Bruiser Bedlam/Killer Kyle/Jim Cornette

Corny hiding the foreign object from the ref takes a twist here as he pulls down his trunks and gets tossed around by the Bullet for his troubles. Bedlam is really terrible. Smothers was really strong in this selling his ass off, hitting his offense well, et. I continue to be amazed by the quality of Cornette's punches. Lots of teased dissension spots with the big heels. Decent for what it was.

"Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony vs. Brimstone (8/12/94)

Total squash for DWB. Funny seeing Cornette's wife Stacy before she added some lbs.

SMW Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) © vs. Chris Candido & Killer Kyle (8/12/94)

It was announced earlier in the show that Brian Lee was fired so Kyle is in his spot here. Jesus the fans are molten for the RnR here stomping on the bleachers and shit. Candido is wearing a faceless mask since he had his head shaved a week earlier and didn't want to show off his bald head. RnR work over Candido early who is solid here stooging and bumping around before Kyle would come in to change the dynamic. Kyle cheapshots him then Candido & Tammy get their shots in before Kyle chunks him over the top rope to start the control section. Morton is solid as usual here working as the FIP before getting the hot tag to Gibson setting off the 4-way brawl leading to a cute finish when Gibson had Candido in a sunset flip who was grabbing Kyle's hands to stay upright but Morton took out Kyle to finish off the move. Fun little match but I don't think there is enough here for a nomination.

Handicap Match: Lance Storm vs. The Heavenly Bodies ("Gigolo" Jimmy del Ray & Dr. Tom Prichard) (8/12/94)

This was the best version of this match as the crowd was fired up for Lance then DWB when he showed up to help out. Not a nomination though and I wonder how the fans who went to all these shows for the whole week felt about seeing the same damn shit every night.

Handicap Match: Bullet Bob Armstrong & "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" Tracy Smothers vs. Bruiser Bedlam, Killer Kyle, & Jim Cornette (8/12/94)

Smothers was great here and Corny/Bullet was fun but other than that this wasn't good mostly thanks to the horrid Bedlam.
