Posted September 26, 201015 yr comment_5456277 First Show Show starts off with a bunch of clips from 12/26/97 Queens show which we have in full as a FanCam. Highlights include TMIV v. Sasuke, the opening of the triple threat tag title match, and Nicole Bass beating up Marquez Angle with Taz/Brakkus/RVD/Sabu/Jeff Jones from the same show is shown in full. This is actually pretty funny as Brakkus being treated as serious bad ass amuses me and Jones slapping Taz is pretty funny too. Snow and Dreamer make the save for Taz after being beaten down by team WWE. Bizarre vignette for premium wear is shown at this point with the ladies of ECW half nude and Meanie in a bath tub.... Back from break Taz says he may or may not team with Snow/Dreamer/Sandman. Again we have all of this on FanCam. Footage of an insane New Jack balcony dive that I have not yet seen on any of the FanCam's. Sabu/RVD/Can Ams v. Taz/Dreamer/Sandman/Snow This comes off a little better on tv than it did on FanCam. Still not enough to make the set. stuff with Taz/Brakkus actually seems really cool here as the pull apart mob is massive and can barely squeeze down the aisleway. They get a really good angle of Beulah taking a nasty lariat from Sabu too. Clips from Nov to Remember Fourway dance for tag titles on one of those commercials are shown and it makes me wonder if I should rewatch it as Rich's selling of New Jack's guitar shot off the top is hilariously great. Second Show Al Snow v. Roadkill (ECW Arena) Lots of antics with Head. Diamond and Chastity are both in Roadkill's corner and each of them ends up taking a Northern Lights Bomb. Decent. Chris Candido v. Jerry Lynn (ECW Arena) Not sure if I've seen this or not. There is some good stuff in this and some bad stuff in this. Really hated the spot with Candido teasing a dive to the floor and then Lynn just rolls in the ring and catches him with a dropkick leading to a big bump. It just looked fake as hell. Did enjoy the rope running spots though and Candido's vertical suplex looked awesome as fuck in this. Also Lynn almost dies on an attempted rolling senton into the crowd going rib first on the guardrail. Finish is Lynn targeting Candido's injured arm with a legdrop and Candido giving up on a cross armbreaker. Probably more good than bad, but I can't see this making the set. Finish of Justin Credible/Mikey Whipwreck with Mikey going down to leg injury is shown. We have this on FanCam. Finish of FBI v. Dreamer/Axl/Balls with fighting refs and chairshots galore. Justin Credible v. Great Sasuke I watched this for the SC poll and remember thinking it was okay but overrated. Sasuke matches tend to be made by the dives and Credible matches by his bumps. Sasuke hits a sweet hilo about ten seconds into this but then they cut to commercial. They come back and Sasuke is working a control segment on Justin. Jason end sup trying to block a space flying tiger drop to the annoyance of Sasuke who just goes and hits it anyhow. Jason block another dive attempt and then Sasuke ends up hitting his leg on the floor on a missed plancha. Credible targets the leg here and it actually really dramatic as he rips Sasuke's pant leg open beats it to death with chairs, lacks on a nasty looking ringpost figure-four, and then put a chair around the leg and smashes it. Sasuke is crawling and clinging to the ref which really adds to this. Credible ends up squashing his leg with a splash on a chair and tries another but Sasuke moves. He hits a one legged dropkick that actually makes a lot of sense and then goes for a Phoenix splash which he splats on nastily. Credible hits him with the tombstone for the finish. This is a really well put together match and I don't think much of it is missing. Given it's popularity, it really should make the final product.
