This was a blast. The Mexicans cut off the ring and played the heelish team while leaving most of the spectacular stuff to the Japanese. Hamada hit some beautiful rolling armdrags on Chavo, and Inoue got in on the fun with some sweet flying headscissors. They really got the crowd going with a series of dives onto both Guerreros. The end was kind of neat as well. Hector was set up to hit a dive to the floor on Hamada only for Inoue to pull him off the turnbuckle into a German suplex for the pin. The match only went about 10 minutes but featured great action different from anything else we've nominated. It at least deserves a look from everyone.

Gran Hamada & Mighty Inoue vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero (9/12/84)

Great seeing Hamada show up and even greater seeing Chavo & Hector teaming up in Japan. This is one of those matches that is more fun than good as I was digging everyone in the match but the match as a whole had some issues with blown spots and overall sloppiness that hurt it in my eyes. I would've loved to have seen Chavo vs. Hamada in a singles match though as they had some fun exchanges. Good action and a cute finish plus angry Guerreros at the end was nice but still not a nomination.

Chavo & Hector Guerrero vs. Mighty Inoue & Gran Hamada, 9/12/84 (G+ 74)

- More nice matwork tonight. I know we joked about Killer Khan making every set but Chavo must be pretty damn close. Hamada is moving as fluid as he did against Babyface and the Guerreros are way too eager to join him. Nasty battering ram double team by the Guerreros on Inoue. Don’t know if I have ever seen that before. Awesome flip spot by Hamada that led to a Chavo superkick. Damn, Hamada gets the offense for his team while Inoue gets his ass beat. I love it. Too bad this didn’t happen in 1989 or the stretch run would have been off the charts but this had a good ending to a fun match. I back the nomination.

Sad to see Kris didn't like this. May have to pull a personal card on this one. Hamada on All Japan seems like a must.
