Posted October 1, 201015 yr comment_5456471 Taz promo Justin Credible hits the ring and does his poses. Chastity is arguing with him and Jason and all the sudden Jazz runs in and they start brawling. Jazz ends up caning Chastity badly, Dreamer makes the save. Then fucking Terry Funk comes down to the ring and with Credible and challenges Dreamer. Credible says if he wants a piece of him he'll have to go through Funk and literally hides behind Terry. Then Jazz comes from behind and low blows him and Credible, Jazz, Jason, and Funk beat down Tommy. Funk announces Credible as his new protege. Credible tombstones Funk and Jazz brings a ladder into the ring. They work over Dreamer's legs with the ladder and then put him in a double spinning toehold. EXTRA Antifaz Del Norte v. Tajiri This is clipped. I believe this is Tajiri's first appearance in the Arena and it is something I would really like to see again in full. Really cool to see how over Tajiri was right away and how well he connected with the Arena crowd right out of the gate. Tons of strong spots right out of the gate including head punting, a really high Asai, the rewind elbow, there is an awesome spot with Antifaz going to run the rope and Tajiri trailing behind and kicking him in the kidney's. Norte's offense looked good too and Tajiri sold his ass off for him. I am going to say this is an Extra for now even clipped. May be set worthy. EXTRA RVD promo Robert Gibson promo interrupted by Doring/Roadkill asking for autograph. Roadkill shaking Gibson's hand and saying "Chickens" was hysterical. Balls Mahoney v. Rob Van Dam Early floor brawling here doesn't look that great but feels intense enough. RVD hits his insane flip plancha ala the Bigelow TV title switch and Balls takes it super great. Five star really looks insanely great in this too. Balls hits his own huge frog splash. I usually hate RVD's selling, but he takes a really good punch bump here in the corner and I liked his reaction to Balls corner splash. This is starting to look like something I would nominate when RVD ends up kicking the ref on a Van Daminator attempt that Balls ducked on. Balls hits a shit load of chair assisted offense but the ref gets over late on the cover. Man most of the shit in this looked good, including the ref bump. But I really thought the ref bump took away from this a lot and they went way to "your turn, my turn" after that point. Overall still fun, but it looked like it would be better than it was. Sabu v. Taz JIP. Taz takes a couple of pretty big table bumps early, which Sabu out does by going face first off the fucking bleachers. Crowd brawling isn't that great but I thought this had good build. The fucking suplex Sabu takes on his neck through the table is fucking insane. Taz rolls Sabu on top of him and drops the FTW title voluntarily as Douglas screams at Taz. EXTRA Taz promo from parking garage. Justin Credible promo Terry Funk comes out and attacks Dreamer again. Shane Douglas promo. He calls out Taz to get his reward for taking out Sabu. Taz says he doesn't want any money or to fuck Francine or to be part of the Triple Threat. Instead he is taking the title shot for the ppv. Tajiri v. Pablo Marquez JIP. We really need this in full. This was essentially an extended squash, but what was shown was really great. Marquez gets tied up like a pretzel, bumps huge, gets kicked to shit, et., but Marquez gets a bit of this and looks really fired up. The strike exchange here right before the finish is really great, among the best I've ever seen in ECW actually. There is not enough here to piece together a nomination, but the full match would almost certainly be one. EXTRA Antifaz Del Norte v. Super Crazy This looks to be heavily clipped, but we REALLY need this. Norte almost kills Crazy on an early dive, then hits another equally viciously one a few minutes later. Crazy uses a fan to help him vault moonsault Norte on the floor. Norte kicks out of some crazy moonsaults and avoids a really sweet twisting splash, before falling to a tiger driver. EXTRA Skull Von Krush v. Rob Van Dam You wouldn't think that Krush would be a really good base for Van Dam, but he actually is as he takes his shit really well. Fonzy ends up coming in and beating up Lance Wright who then takes a five star. Lance Storm promo saying he's open for the upcoming ppv due to Mikey leaving and Lynn's injury.
