Posted October 2, 201014 yr comment_5456530 Hector Guerrero vs. Ultra Seven - This was all chopped up. The early matwork looked good but the stretch run came off a lot more ragged, mostly because of Ultra Seven. Race/Tenryu vs. Funks - JIP at the three-minute mark with Race methodically working over Terry. Terry went to his exaggerated, wobbly selling a little too early. Dory tagged in and hit a bunch of forearms. Terry and Harley ended up brawling to a countout. Cool that this match happened, but they never quite found a groove or built to anything superheated. Hansen/Brody vs. Baba/Jumbo - Jumbo and Hansen came out trading bombs, but Brody and Hansen gained an early advantage by targeting Jumbo's back. They controlled him for an unusually long stretch to start the match, but Jumbo showed a lot of fight trying to get away. The crowd popped huge when he finally tagged Baba, who floored both monsters with chops and kicks. But the roller coaster continued when Hansen and Brody mauled the boss with some sick kicks and flying knees. Jumbo took an awesome hot tag late in the match, going nuts with the high knees and such. He put Hansen in an abdominal stretch until Brody came flying off the top with a double axehandle. That set up a shockingly clean finish with Hansen taking Jumbo's head off via vintage lariat. Non-stop action here with a hot crowd and Brody and Hansen looking like the most dominant tag team ever. Solid nomination.
