Posted October 3, 201015 yr comment_5456599 Highlights from Cage match with Dudz/Mustapha v. Axl/Balls/New Jack from Cyberslam. Includes New Jack's dive off top of Cage, Mahoney fireball and Axl getting dumped in tacks. Jerry Lynn v. Tajiri I liked this better on the this watch than the first. Still don't see it as a nomination, but it was a solid match. Pretty sure Will likes this one more than me. El Mosco Del Merced v. Super Crazy This is another one from Cyberslam 99 that I have just below the nomination cut. Replay of Storm/Dreamer piss angle from last weeks show. Shane Douglas v. Justin Credible This is an SC top 100 match, but I haven't seen it yet so I'm going to watch it. Douglas shows great fire early and I really loved his float over suplexes. You usually don't think of Credible as a stiff wrestler but he worked stiff here and I thought this match really brought the hate. Douglas really made a Credible superkick look huge and vicious. Holy shit I really liked the spot with Credible dribbling Shane's head like a basketball along the ring mat. Then he spikes him into the giant pole in the ECW Arena busting him open. Credible does not work well from the top usually, but here Shane's selling was really good and he got over desperation well. God Douglas was juiced to the gills here. I really loved the Douglas comeback spot as Credible took a really nice press slam through a table. Girls come in which is usually the cue for Credible to still a win, but it ends in a really great dueling canes spot with Credible/Douglas. Jason comes in and gets his neck attacked by Shane. This really comes off as Douglas last gasp as he is working in shit like Thesz Presses and desperation crucifix. Douglas wins with the Pittsburgh Plunge after blocking an attempt off the top from Credible. Post-match Storm runs in and Credible canes Douglas to hell. Dreamer runs in with a trashcan but ends up getting destroyed as well by the Impact Players. This whole thing had a really awesome atmosphere to it. Little Guido/Sal E. Graziano v. Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney Guido's early stalling and reactions to Axl/Balls stuff was amusing. Sal E. always struck me as to goofy to be an enforcer type, but Balls does a good job pinballing off of him to get over the size disparity in a convincing fashion. Balls played a good FIP and I like Guido's persistence at going after the arm. Good comeback from babyfaces and Sal took an epic chairshot for the pin. Fun match. Highlights of Candido/Taz from Cyberslam 99 Taka Minchinoku v. Papi Chulo Again this is from Cyberslam 99. Will liked this a lot more than me though the finish is really great. Stills of Dreamer being attacked by Impact Players and Crazy/Lynn making save and winning tag match. Then Dudz attack Crazy/Lynn. Somehow this results in a match where RVD wrestles D-Von Dudley for the tag belts but if D-Von wins he has to give the belts to the IMpact Players? D-Von Dudley v. Rob Van Dam JIP. RVD is in peril for a bit and then makes a comeback and Bubba keeps knocking out refs so they can't count the fall for Van Dam. Dudz end up double teaming RVD for nearfalls. RVD fights back but the Impact Players come out and block the five star setting up a top rope 3D for the title switch. Sabu tries to make the save but gets caned as does Fonzy. Post-match the Dudz double cross Impact Players and walk out with the belts themselves. Really absurd segment.
