Posted October 3, 201015 yr comment_5456600 This is an SC top 100 match, but I haven't seen it yet so I'm going to watch it. Douglas shows great fire early and I really loved his float over suplexes. You usually don't think of Credible as a stiff wrestler but he worked stiff here and I thought this match really brought the hate. Douglas really made a Credible superkick look huge and vicious. Holy shit I really liked the spot with Credible dribbling Shane's head like a basketball along the ring mat. Then he spikes him into the giant pole in the ECW Arena busting him open. Credible does not work well from the top usually, but here Shane's selling was really good and he got over desperation well. God Douglas was juiced to the gills here. I really loved the Douglas comeback spot as Credible took a really nice press slam through a table. Girls come in which is usually the cue for Credible to still a win, but it ends in a really great dueling canes spot with Credible/Douglas. Jason comes in and gets his neck attacked by Shane. This really comes off as Douglas last gasp as he is working in shit like Thesz Presses and desperation crucifix. Douglas wins with the Pittsburgh Plunge after blocking an attempt off the top from Credible. Post-match Storm runs in and Credible canes Douglas to hell. Dreamer runs in with a trashcan but ends up getting destroyed as well by the Impact Players. This whole thing had a really awesome atmosphere to it.
December 4, 201014 yr comment_5459240 "The Franchise" Shane Douglas vs. Justin Credible (4/3/99) This is a SC Top 100 match and it definitely deserves to be on that. Really great stuff all around pre, during, & post match.
December 6, 201014 yr comment_5459839 Justin Credible vs. Shane Douglas (ECW 4/16/99) - These guys pay tribute to Kobashi and Joe with the chops at the beginning. Oh wait, this was before that match. Then a commercial. Shit. We come back to Credible throwing Shane through a table. Well how did Credible get the advantage? I enjoy what was shown and Credible is winning me over here but it’s like we skipped the entire shine at the beginning. Man, Douglas is taking an ass kicking here. Douglas is busted open and Justin starts with attacking the cut but right as it was getting good, he goes to the chinlock. He could have just punched him in the cut for 5 minutes and I would have given this a big thumbs up. Nice table counter by Shane slamming Justin through the table. Shaane locks in the figure-4 and that made no sense. Chicks rolling around, kendo stick duel ,yep, I know this ECW. The interference portion was unnecessary but they had a nice stretch run to end it. Eh, some really cool things in this match but some really stupid things also that make you from completely getting behind it. Low level nomination. EDIT: Kris says this is a SC Top 100. I can move it forward on that.
December 6, 201014 yr Author comment_5459852 This is helped a lot by the angles and build around this. I actually thought the Douglas v. Impact Players feud was one of the better storylines ECW ran at that point.
