Spike's offense barrage early is really spirited and his tope that drives both guys over the guardrail was a good way to set up the commercial break. I am not a fan of the stupid ass Van Daminator, but the the way Spike sold the one that he took in the crowd was really cool. RVD's offense did not blow me away, but Spike took it all well and I really loved the timing of his mini-comebacks. Spike's secondary offensive run was just as good as the first run. Really liked the way RVD took the tornado DDT on the chair. RVD ends up winning after a chair/head kick and a five star. This was a very well segmented match, with minimal Fonzy bullshit. Spike looked really good in this one as well. Probably made better from the commercial that surely eliminated some of RVD's offense and kept the match a reasonable length. But I am still going to nominate it.

ECW World TV Title: "Whole F'N Show" Rob Van Dam © vs. Spike Dudley (10/9/99)

This was originally an elimination match with One Man Gang but Spike took care of him during the commercial break and they didn't even acknowledge Gang's existance here. Again the commercial breaks here were annoying and hurt the flow of the match to me. RVD was hitting some big spots here that was hurting him just as much as Spike and both guys really looked good here as Spike's offense was good with RVD taking it well. The stretch run was fun as well and I think this is a nomination.

Spike Dudley vs. RVD (ECW TV 10/15/99)

- For once, a commercial break at the right time, right after a HUGE dive by Spike that sends both guys over the rail. Not as insane as a NJ 1989 tag match but impressive. Nasty Van Daminator outside and RVD is in control. Besides a couple of hope spots, this is really just an RVD showcase and squash of Spike. Hell, Spike gets a nice run at the end of rsome nearfallsbut I never felt like the end was in doubt. If Spike gets the upset, I could make a case for this. Instead, it can be left off without much concern.
