Posted October 8, 201014 yr comment_5457003 Francine/Dreamer come out. Gertner ends up goading Francine by calling her a whore and bringing out Miss Congeniality as the ideal woman. Francine attacks her and Dreamer goes to town on Doring and Roadkill. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Tommy Dreamer/Raven Raven runs in after a few minutes hits a DDT the end. Prazak interviewing Masato Tanaka outside of Anarchy Rulz. Jeff Jones talks trash to him and Tanaka faceplants Jones. Highlights of Credible v. Sabu from ppv. Clips of Taz being eliminated by Tanaka/Awesome at the ppv. Little Guido v. Super Crazy The early going with Crazy working over Guido was well done but almost so "typical" of what you would expect that I couldn't really appreciate it. Then Crazy face plants on a springboard moonsault attempt and the match gets a lot better really quick. Sal E. adds to this a good bit as Guido's distraction spots work well and Sal kills Crazy with a powerbomb at one that looks absolutely nightmarish. I really dug Guido's full nelson back roll and his second rope frogsplash as nearfalls that I'd never seen him work before (and at this point I've probably seen more Guido matches than anyone in history). Guido takes an insane bump off of a spinning DDT and Crazy goes for escalating moonsaults but Guido gets the knees up and it smacks Crazy right in the mouth. Sal tries for another powerbomb but Crazy rana's out and hits a sick delayed vertical brainbuster for the finish. This is sort of a tough one because I can't see it holding up at the end of the day and yet it's a better "Guido + Sal" heel act match than most any they have had. I'll nominate it on the strength of that. spike runs out and squashes Sal. Impact Players and Johnny Smith beat down RVD/Lynn. Sabu makes the save. Clips of New Jack beating the crap out of people with props. Taz final moments in ECW/crowning of Mike Awesome of World champ. Clips of Awesome winning title. Rhino highlights Mike Awesome v. Rhino We have this on HC TV though not in full. Good highspot heavy match. Spike Dudley highlights. Spike v. Sal E Guido runs in and breaks up the pinfall attempt after the acid drop. Little Guido v. Spike Dudley Whole purpose of this was to get Spike over as a tough guy and it succeeded. The Spike/Guido stuff was really solid, but I was annoyed at the tone going back and fourth between comedic and serious. Rob Van Dam music video C.W. Anderson/Billy Wiles v. Roadkill/Danny Doring from Anarchy Rulz shown in full. Tommy Dreamer v. Tajiri God damnit we are getting to the point where any Tajiri match is a strong contender for the set. Tajiri slithering around the match, yelling at fans, et. is always fun, but I really loved how Dreamer kept reverting to nut based offensive attacks to the turn the tide. Seriously, Tajiri gets crotched on guardrail, takes a nasty crotch slide into the post on a missed tree of woe spot, sells his ass off from Dreamer kick to the crotch. There is a Rude v. Dustin match that works with a similar theme and I'm not sure Asian ethnic stereotypes lend themselves to crotch being main body part weakness to target but I still liked that Tommy was working over a body part. The big spots in this are also really awesome, with Dreamer flying backwards over a table off of a kick on the floor, Tajiri taking a huge bump into the crowd, Tajiri leaping on to a table in the crowd only to eat a nasty chairshot, et. Tajiri ends up blading in the crowd and is running around in the penalty box at the stadium knocking over fans. Dreamer bites the cut and punches it in the corner and then goes for a corner charge and gets his head kicked right off. Tajiri stands on Dreamer's head and spits on him and then runs from one corner to the other spitting on fans. Dreamer ducks a spin kick and hits a DVD but Corino pulls the ref out of the ring. Francine beats up Corino. Raven runs in and DDT's Dreamer and Tajir hits a running dropkick to him for the pin and celebrates by crawling around on the mat like a dog with two broken hind legs while cackling into the camera with blood pouring down his face. This is THE Dreamer v. Tajiri match to include and this is coming from someone who really liked the other two and hates the sort of run-in train finish we got here. I defy anyone to show me a better wrestler in 99 than Tajiri.
