Candido and Rhino hit the ring and brawl with Impact Players. Security separates them. Tammy and Dawn Marie catfight. Backstage promo with Corino/Victory. Corino complains that Limp Bizkit's loud music from the other building is distracting him. Super Crazy v. Ikuto Hidaka This is an ECW Arena match that I don't think I've ever seen. Hidaka works really confidently in this. His twisting flip dive was really cool and I liked the way he played to the crowd after every big spot he hit. Commercial fails to show us the momentum shift but back from it and Hidaka is really selling his ass off for Crazy's corner punches. Crazy gets spiked on a rana rollup for a good nearfall. Hidaka's body language continues to be really good as he sells frustration/shock really well. Crazy's win really comes out of nowhere. Good match, but not anywhere near as good as their 12/17/99 match. Corino bitching backstage Raven promo comparing his "abusive drunk" father to the Sandman. Corino/Durst angle - we have it on HC TV Cyrus/Jerry Lynn vignette. Cyrus bitches at Lynn for trying to work his own "angle" with Tajiri. Sandman v. Raven Sandman seizure sell of early table bump was totally unexpected and fun. Dreamer is the guest ref here and his fast counting on a double knockout spot was pretty silly. Sandman's selling - which is always really good - is easily the best part of this as he really gets over the match as "brutal" despite the fact that it really isn't terrible brutal by ECW standards. Sandman punching on his knees was pretty fun too. Rhino/Candido run-in and they attack Dreamer and Sandman. Lori Fullington comes out and low blows Raven. Francine runs out and has a catfight with Lori. Impact Players run out and Raven vaults onto them. EXTRA Conclusion of Durst/Corino angle. Rob Van Dam in ring promo dedicating his TV title defense to Sabu. Dreamer/Raven backstage vignette. Replay of Corino/Durst angle. Corino in ring promo. Corino denounces "hardcore music" and talks about his love for boy bands. Corino blames hardcore wrestling on Dusty Rhodes who is in the building. Dusty comes into the ring and faces off with Corino. Corino slaps him and Dusty lights of Victory and Corino with elbows. This is a really good angle and really good tv and a must for the set. EXTRA Highlights from hardcore tv. Impact Players promo Spike Dudley squashes Uganda RVD/Fonzy promo Mike Awesome v. Too Cold Scorpio Interested to see this one on tv as I had the FanCam just a hair short of a nomination. I still think it's a hair short. Scorp sold some shit really well and I liked the big spots, but Scorp tossed out a coupel of really week kicks and I just can't see this being something that would hold up at the end despite being a pretty good match. Justin Credible v. Sandman Pre-match Jason says he stole Sandman's cane. We have this on FanCam. Pretty good brawl with Rhino running in and goring both at the end.
