Dreamer ends up telling Raven he has to wrestle Cyrus in the control booth cutting Gertner's schtick Replay of Awesome/RVd angle Mike awesome promo on beating up Spike Little Guido v. Tajiri Open exchange of this is really awesome with Tajiri and Guido going right at each other and Guido shooting a double leg before a bridge out into a powerbomb that we only see part of due to a terribly timed commercial. Back from the break Tajiri hits Dick Murdoch's finish on Guido, than moonsaults Guido and Sal, then does a hilariously great celebration of said move, then throws the most contempt filled punch I've ever seen when Guido gets on the apron, then kicks him in the face and mocks him, then stands on his head. Totally fucking awesome. Someone needs to do an all Tajiri podcast. Guido takes over with a Fujiwara out of a brainbuster and goes for the Tomikaze but Tajiri escapes only to get Fujiwara'd again. Guido's bumps huge for a Tajiri flurry and ends up hitting the best top rope rocker dropper I've ever seen him hit. Sal gets on the apron so Tajiri kicks him off. They get into a strike exchange that ends with Tajiri slapping the shit out of Guido and then hitting him with a horrifying looking head kick and the brainbuster for the finish. One semi-awkward moment, but overall that was awesome. RVD/Fonzy promo Rhino/Steve Corino v. STeve Wilcox/Tommy Dreamer This was just an excuse to run the angle with the Saints football player turning on Dreamer. Work was okay up to that point. Post-match promo and angle with Dusty are the best part. Spike Dudley v. Mike Awesome These two always had good matches. Spike is a bump freak early taking a vicious rail shot and getting dumped on his head with a German. Awesome is not terribly good at selling anything but he reacts well to Spike's offensive flurries. Really liked how Spike would get little pieces of offense and Awesome would cut him off almost right away as this made Spike's reversal of attempted table spot into diving bulldog all the more awesome (no pun intended). Chairshots have worn thin on me but a guy Spike's size almost needs a chair to look credible against Awesome so I actually enjoyed his chair based run of nearfalls as well. Finishing run with Spike surviving Awesome highspot after highspot only to be killed with a running table powerbomb into the corner was really great. This was good shit. Post-match is the great angle with RVD doing the flip plancha onto Awesome/Sabu that I've already tagged as an EXTRA. Cyrus shoots on Gertner yet again. RVD and Fonzy walk but and RVD confront Mike Awesome in the dressing room. They brawl in the back. Spike Dudley shows up and hits an Acid Drop on Jeff Jones. This is nowhere near as cool as it sounds. Paul E begging Raven to stop with the bullshit. Steve Corino/Rhino v. Dusty Rhodes/Tommy Dreamer Corino cuts a pre-match promo demanding Dreamer tag Dusty in. Dusty in juking and jiving, eyerakinng Rhino, putting on the figure-four, leading to three person figure-four spot was ridiculous but a lot of fun. This devolves into a wild brawl with Corino bleeding huge, brawling on the stage, Rhino throwing chairshots, et. Dreamer drops a bionic elbow on Corino. Dreamer is pretty great as FIP,pulling himself along the bottom rope like it's a zipline desperate to get to the corner. Dusty's rally on the hot tag is pretty sweet as Corino knows how to eat The Dream's punches. Rhino ends up goring Dreamer off of a misdirection spot and then Dusty takes a shockingly good bump off of a clothesline from Rhino. Dusty and Dreamer end up winning when Dusty hits the bionic elbow on Corino. I really enjoyed this, probably more than I should have. Impact Players promo from a pool Roadkill/Doring/Elektra promo. This was supposed to be funny but it wasn't. Mikey Whipwreck promo acting crazy in the mirror and talking about his history. Mikey Whipwreck v. Rob Van Dam Mikey's offense here is reckless and adventurous and goes back and fourth between being cool and being stupid. Still when Mikey was on offense it was interesting. When RVD went on offense this went straight to shit. Mike Awesome promo from outside the ambulance Jeff Jones is in. Absurd Paul E narrated update about RVD's broken leg.
