Posted October 14, 201014 yr comment_5457216 Styles and Gertner call Tajiri and Crazy to the ring for a title match. Cyrus announces it will be a Japanese Death Match. Then Gertner and Cyrus get into it. The Network angle was obviously unwise for Paul E, but these segments with Cyrus really are pretty great. Styles makes like he is going to go after Cyrus and Cyrus threatens to have him arrested too. Tajiri v. Super Crazy This starts right at the bell after Tajiri had attacked Crazy. Tajiri throws Crazy wildly into the crowd and he lands on the first four rows. Tajiri returns the crowd toss a minute or so later and hits a wild Asai into the crowd. Dueling roll up exchange in this seemed strange and a bit off step though everything looked okay. Tajiri ending it with a stiff kick was great. There is a commercial right after a nasty chair shot from Tajiri and when we pick up we are at the tables portion of the match. The moves and bumps looked good but the pacing was off here and it seemed like they took way too long to set up the big spots here. Finish was really anti-climactic. No way this was a BAD match but this is one of the worst Tajiri in ECW matches I've seen and easily the worst of this series. Post-match Victory and Corino run-in and attack Crazy. Rhino runs in and gores Crazy. Sandman runs in and makes the save with his cane. Tajiri mists Sandman and the heels beat him down. Back from commercial Cyrus is in the ring and says no one has the balls to take on the network. Then Balls Mahoney's music hits. Network beats balls up. Da Baldies beat up Dreamer backstage collecting a bounty Raven put up. Tommy Dreamer v. Vic Grimes Wild arena brawl. Grimes always took a fan asskicking and bumps big and takes plunder shots to the head. Da Baldies run-in and run around the arena helping Grimes beat up Tommy. Grimes ends up hitting an insane diving elbow off of a scaffold to the floor. Grimes takes a ridiculous bump where he front flips and then faceplants onto a chair Dreamer got out of. Holy fuck this just goes on forever as there are three or four different crowd brawling segments. This is like one of those Vince McMahon/Shane/Stooges/assorted lackeys v. whoever match as Dreamer ends up fighting off all Da Baldies and elbowing Grimes off of the same scaffolding. Finish is Grimes taking a flip bump off the top onto a ladder. Bizarre. Sinister Minister promo talking about how he set up Awesome/Raven tandem. Francine confrontation follows and then The Impact Players hit the ring as the show goes off the air. +++ Cyrus and Tajiri break up Joey/Joel opening. Cyrus threatens to deport Tajiri if he turns on him. Da Baldies and Roadkill/Doring confrontation backstage. Tajiri v. Little Guido Guido's bumping and selling for Tajiri's early kicks were really awesome. There is an insanely large ramp at this venue and Tajiri snap suplexes Guido on it. They do a pretty cool build around the pending table shot including an awesome spot where Tajiri wildly hurls a chair at Guido's head which he just barely ducks out of the way of. After a commercial there is an awesome spot where Guido goes to flip off of Sal's shoulders onto Tajiri who is on a table. Tajiri jumps up, sprays mist in Sal's eyes and then suplexes Guido on the table. The table doesn't break and it just looks vicious. Tajiri ties Guido to the tree of woe but rather than going for the baseball slide kick, he just stiffs him with a short kick to the face. Jesus Tajiri's strikes in this are insane. I was on the fence about nominating this and then Tajiri hits a TOP ROPE BRAINBUSTER for the win. Come on. It's got to a least get a look. Mike Awesome/Jeff Jones promo Sinister Minister promo reading Tarot cards. Da Baldies v. Roadkill/Danny Doring/Tommy Dreamer Virtually every cool thing in this involved Roadkill jumping off of shit. Not a terrible match, but seriously only worth watching for Roadkill jumping off of shit. Rhino v. Super Crazy Pre-match Cyrus teases wrestling Crazy himself but says the network is pulling a "bait and switch." This was a fun match. Too chinlocky really, but there were some really great spots down the stretch and they put over Crazy big time as a guy who could take everything and keep ticking. Post-match the rest of the Network attacks Crazy. Per usual Sandman makes the save and per usual he gets beat down.
