Posted October 18, 201014 yr comment_5457372 Tsurumi/One Man Gang vs. Race/Bockwinkel - JIP. Race and Bockwinkel put on a punching clinic. Harley's exchanges with Gang were the best part of the match. Race finished Tsurumi easily with a brainbuster. Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Funks - JIP about 12 minutes in. Standard Dory working holds and Terry taking punishment to start. Terry bumped to the outside off a Tenryu enzuigiri and bladed. That led into the highlight segment of the match, with bloody Terry punching his way out of trouble after Jumbo missed a big knee into the corner. Dory did a nice job of targeting Jumbo's knee after he took the hot tag. But after that, they lost focus and resorted to trading random offense and hold break-ups until the bell rang for the draw. Despite the one strong portion, the clip and scattered finishing run doomed this. Baba/Kimura vs. Hansen/Brody - The crowd had been dead most of the night but tuned up for this one. This started almost like a Hansen/Baba singles match, with all four guys blasting away from the bell and Baba going after Hansen's lariat arm. Brody and Hansen ultimately isolated Kimura and gave him a pretty good beating. The match got wild again at the end. Baba tried to save Rusher but ate a nasty double shoulder tackle for his trouble. Rusher then staged his own rally, staggering Hansen and Brody with a series of headbutts that looked all the better because he was bleeding. He couldn't keep them off forever, and Brody lifted him into a bearhug so Hansen could come off the second rope with a sick western lariat. That was a badass finisher. Hadn't seen that one before. Anyway, this match only lasted about 10 minutes, but I really dug it, so you all should check it out. The disc did have tracking issues.
