The crowd had been dead most of the night but tuned up for this one. This started almost like a Hansen/Baba singles match, with all four guys blasting away from the bell and Baba going after Hansen's lariat arm. Brody and Hansen ultimately isolated Kimura and gave him a pretty good beating. The match got wild again at the end. Baba tried to save Rusher but ate a nasty double shoulder tackle for his trouble. Rusher then staged his own rally, staggering Hansen and Brody with a series of headbutts that looked all the better because he was bleeding. He couldn't keep them off forever, and Brody lifted him into a bearhug so Hansen could come off the second rope with a sick western lariat. That was a badass finisher. Hadn't seen that one before. Anyway, this match only lasted about 10 minutes, but I really dug it, so you all should check it out. The disc did have tracking issues.

Giant Baba & Rusher Kimura vs. Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody, AJ TV 12/1/84 (E-64-1)

- You can really tell who signs the paychecks because these guys sell like Ricky Morton for Baba and give Rusher no love. TO be fair, Rusher isn’t really selling any damage from these guys either. We get some VQ problems but from what I gather, they maintain the formula… Baba is king and Rusher will get nothing. I liked the Hansen-Brody match I watched yesterday much better. Childs is right about the cool finish. I'll look at the VQ for the finisher again and see if I can edit the finish as an extra. Add the VQ problems and we can leave this off.

Real World Tag League: Bruiser Brody & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen vs. Giant Baba & Rusher Kimura (12/1/84)

It's always fun watching Brody & Hansen sell for Baba as they go all out making the boss look good but Kimura is different as they pound him and no sell his offense but he does just about the same so it cancels out in the end. The tracking issues were horrible here and it really hurt my enjoyment of the match which was a fun match but not really a good match although the finish looked great. Not a nomination.
