Anton and Cyrus hit the ring and Cyrus cuts a nasty promo on Raven talking about how he has given up his rights to speak on his network and saying the Raven gimmick was a rip off of the Jackal. Raven attacks Anton and then looks to attack Cyrus but Rhino makes the save and puts Raven through a table. Sandman makes the save with savage caning on Rhino. Lori Fullington hits the ring and attacks Cyrus before the security hits the ring to break everything up. Really strong segment. EXTRA Rob Van Dam/Fonzy promo Pitbull 1 promo from bathroom with Blue Boy/Jas St. Clair in a stall. We have this on HC TV. Mikey Whipwreck v. Tajiri Tajiri's early kicks look typically brutal, though Mikey doesn't sell them much at all before going on an unusually fast flurry. Mikey takes a nasty bump into the guardrail on the floor off a kick and then Tajiri dances around to the crowds approval. Mikey mocks Tajiri with his own schick and headkick so Tajiri comes back and hits a vicious headkick. Mikey gets the mist and eats a really good looking reverse tornado DDT and then taps to the Octopus. This was a solid little match, but not enough meat to be a nomination. Justin Credible/Francine promo Simon Diamond cuts a promo mid-ring. C.W. runs out and destroys Simon's lackeys with punches and then beats the shit out of the prodigette. Simon and Swinger jump in and beat the shit out of the goofs with Anderson. C.W. calls out anybody worthy to take on an Anderson. Doring and Roadkill hit the ring. Anderson blindsides Roadkill and they beat down the babyfaces and Bobby Eaton makes the save! What the fuck I have no memory of this. Eaton and Anderson have a stand off and Bobby wins the punching battle but then gets blindsided by the heels. EXTRA Swinger/C.W./Simon promo Sandman/Jerry Lynn v. Rhino/Steve Corino This was pretty weak though Corino's stuff looked really good in it. Cyrus botched a run-in microphone shop horribly. Spike ends up running out and helping beat Rhino with a 3D. Paul E. narrates go home package for Heatwave. Dawn Marie hits the ring during Styles/Gertner promo Paul E. narrates package discussing Corino putting a bounty on Lynn's head. Jerry Lynn/Tommy Dreamer v. Da Baldies Lynn goes it alone early and then Dreamer hits the ring. Dive from Lynn and then a commercial and then some nearly impossible to see crowd brawling. This goes on seemingly further and builds to a spot where Angel has to take a silly looking "powerbomb" from Jazz before taking a table bump. Lynn goes for the finish with the piledriver but Corino/Anton put The Clap on the babyfaces. Anderson/Simon/Swinger promo Justin Credible v. Tajiri At times I have defended Creidble as a worker, but he really sucked in this as his bumping looked really contrived, he took a terrible early bump on a Tajiri kick and his offense looked like utter shit. Thankfully Tajiri made up for this with some great schtick and an unbelievably nasty kick to Credible's face that looked like it might have broken Credible's skull. Francine is better in this than Credible as at least she takes her beating well enough and sells decently. Double stomp through the table nearfall was pretty great. Roll up out of DDT attempt is even better though the ref fucks up the count horribly. God Tajiri losing just killed the crowd. This is a damn near perfect illustration of why Credible was not a good champ and why Tajiri should have been the champ. Balls Mahoney v. Rob Van Dam For bomb throwing spotfest this was decent enough and the charm of Mahoney working semi-elaborate roll up spots kept me interested, but this did not strike as anything worth going out of your way to see. Finishing run was pretty great though.
