Jim Cornette/RNR promo talking about Cornette getting his asskicked the previous night by the Gangstas and asking to be in the RNR's corner again tonight.

D-Lo Brown v. The Power Ranger

This was a passable opener. A few flubbed spots and nothing really dynamic but for the most part nothing looked bad.

Bryant Anderson v. Tracy Smothers (I Quit Match)

This was really weak. It's not so much that the match was terrible, but aside from a few clotheslines everything looked really unimpactful and totally out of context in a fucking I Quit Match. Anderson seemed to go back and fourth between looking decent and looking awful at random.

Cactus Jack v. Chris Candido (Falls Count Anywhere)

This has it's negatives, namely a camera angle that misses virtually all of the crowd brawling. However if you view the stuff that is lost as equivalent of edits for commercial on a tv match, this is pretty damn fun. Foley and Candido are both insane and theatrical bumpers so there were a shit load of insane and theatrical bumps including Candido taking a press slam on the the floor, several Foley splat bumps, Candido flying into the crowd and onto tables, et. This was really a back and fourth affair but I liked that aspect of it as it came across as two guys just throwing they had into the match. Candido had a brief control segment at the end where he utilized some cool shit and then Cactus ends up winning after Tammy accidentally uses her purse on the wrong person. Not a home run, but good enough for people to take a look at.

Dirty White Boy v. Buddy Landell

This was just warming up a lot to me when it ended. Lots of good punches make up the meet of this, but these are two guys with great punches and two guys who really know how to sell a great punch. Then DWB ties a bag over Landell's head for some reason. Dumb.

The Gangstas v. The Rock N Roll Express

Pre-match Cornette reads an injunction from SMW that bans D-Lo from ringside. This was a solid match with Robert working FIP and racial tinged mid-match mic work from both New jack and Cornette. Post-match Cornette gets his ass whipped and leg attacked again.

Cornette starts the show talking about the Gangstas hurting him the night before in Knoxville then brings out the RnR demanding to be in their corner again which they allow.

D-Lo Brown vs. The Power Ranger (Ted Allen) (12/26/94)

Ted Allen under this gimmick is hilarious and the match is okay for what it is.

I Quit Match: "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" Tracy Smothers vs. Bryant Anderson (12/26/94)

Smothers has a taped up left shoulder coming in so you know that is getting worked on. Smothers choking Bryant while telling him to quit you "freaking faggot" was great. I did like Bryant's backdrop suplex that was New Japan level before working on the bad shoulder. Yeah this match was a weird one considering the stipulation and there were some good parts of this but not enough.

Falls Count Anywhere: Cactus Jack vs. Chris Candido (12/26/94)

Cactus comes to the ring with a ladder and throws it in there setting the scene. This has quite the slow start for such a match like this and it's 5 minutes before they go to the floor. They badly fuck up the Cactus Clothesline spot with Candido falling face first in the ring and Cactus going over by himself. The brawling that we are able to see is pretty good although there are some flubs but with the camera being like it is we miss the crowd brawling and the stuff that goes on on the other side of the building. There was some really good bumping here especially on the concrete floor and the guys worked hard but I don't think this was good enough for a nomination.

SMW Heavyweight Title: "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony © vs. "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell (12/26/94)

Landell using the disco version of 2001 that Memphis used for their TV show opening as his theme is great. This starts out great with DWB throwing bombs and Landell taking it like a man before dropping to the floor and talking shit. Landell stalls for a bit before coming back in the ring where he throws some great punches of his own before they go the floor where there was good some solid brawling with Landell being dominant. Landell looked good in control before DWB made a spirited comeback until he went knee first in the corner. Landell then got the figure-four and was pulled off by Mark Curtis since DWB grabbed the rope and as this happened Dirty White Girl showed up giving DWB a trashbag which he put on Landell's head for the DQ. Good match but the finish kills any chance of a nomination.

SMW Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) © vs. The Gangstas (new Jack & Mustafa Saed) (12/26/94)

New Jack is great before the match talking shit as usual with Corny hanging with him. Corny announces that D-Lo is banned from ringside which pisses them off. I will say this, it is odd they went back to working straight matches after the street fight series as you would think they would be progressing to some even bigger stip but I guess Cornette being involved was the bigger stip. This was an okay match but the street fight we have is way better.
