Tracy utilizes the Confederate Flag like a champ here, beating Bedlam from pillar to post with it. Bedlam can't sell, but Tracy is so intense coming straight at him and rallying the crowd with every blow that you don't even notice. They end up destroying a bunch of shit ringside, knocking over a table or two, hitting each other with chairs, et. Cornette gets a lick in with the tennis racket that looks like it could have killed someone. Man Smothers is selling his ass off here and bumping with his whole body for every blow Bedlam throws. Seriously Smothers takes an unimaginably good bump off of a powder to the eyes spot. Then Bedlam gets a hammer handed to him from Cornette and he beats Smothers with it. Cool spot with Smothers reversing a bear hug into a belly to belly, but missing an elbow, only for Bedlam to miss one of his own. Smothers drops the straps on his overalls and fires up. Bedlam briefly takes over and goes for a top rope dive onto Smothers who is on a chair but smothers moves and rolls on top for the pin. This is the best Bedlam match I've ever seen and deserves to make the match. Post-match attack by Funk's and Cornette is just the icing on the cake.

This is a fun little brawl with a nice piece of business post match. Bedlam's movements at times look really stiff. Smothers was great with his selling and his fired up babyface schtick. That belly to belly reversal off the bear hug was pretty great. Smothers is so great at carrying lesser talents than him. I thought the amount of time given was perfect for this type of bout. Tommy Noe's commentary I could live w/o though.

Smothers wearing overalls here is awesome. Both men use weapons here in abundance to pound on each other and this is good stuff because it allows Bedlam to work a match where he doesn't have to wrestle. Smothers is really good here selling and bumping for Bedlam making him look like a killer along with taking shots from Corny. The commentary here featuring singing this time was obnoxious and was taking away from the match but Smothers was so good it overcame that distraction. Smothers dropping the straps and then firing away was great before Bedlam hits all chair missing a dive off the top for the win. This was the best Bedlam match maybe ever and deserves to go on at least as a low-end nomination.
