Posted November 10, 201014 yr comment_5458176 Introduction video narrated by Verne. A series of promo clips follows. Might make a decent EXTRA? The Fabulous Ones v. The Road Warriors This benefits a great deal from having a super hot crowd who pretty clearly thought they were seeing something special. This is only about five minutes, but it's a fun five minutes with a fast pace and lots of good looking spots. Finish was Von Raschke running in and trying to attack Ellering leading to the DQ. The Fabulous Ones/Baron Von Raschke v. The Road Warriors/Paul Ellering This is another busted match. Baron looks really out of place in this every time he's in the ring. Finish is just so ridiculous. They did a good job building heat and I understand this is the 80's and DQ's are to be expected but man it just made no sense for Keirn to go ballistic at that point and in that way. Blah. The Road Warriors v. Curt Hennig/Baron Von Raschke This was better than I would have guessed. Most of this is Curt in peril and he works it well. Baron gets the hot tag and locks on the claw and tags back out to Curt who ends up getting his neck caught up in the ropes. The Axe tries to help him out but the Warriors end up destroying him while he is tied up in the ropes. Possible EXTRA Road Warriors/Ellering promo Clips of Road Warriors squashes/promos. Road Warriors promo King Kong Bundy/Jerry Blackwell v. The Road Warriors This is the complete match that we only have clips from on the previous disc. Bundy throwing his weight around early and having Animal pinball for him was pretty cool. Hawk in and he gets treated the same way. Both Warriors being unable to slam Blackwell and selling their backs after attempting was pretty awesome. Totally bizarre off time criss cross spot with Hawk and Blackwell that just didn't look good at all. Watching Hawk in peril from Blackwell's splashes is almost surreal. Bundy goes FIP and is actually really good selling here. Animal's elbow looked good. Blackwell comes in off of a missed top rope spot and hits his huge powerslam for a good nearfall. Blackwell's turn to take a beating and his mannerisms are really great during that segment as the crowd heats up so much for every little gesture and goes apeshit when Animal slams him. I am really annoyed by the relative lack of tension on the hot tag that was well built to. Cool double avalanche by the faces. Ellering interferes and leads to the Warriors getting the pin. This is the best Warriors match I've seen so far and I thought Blackwell and Bundy looked good in this role so I will pass it along to others. The Road Warriors v. The Long Riders JIP. This was fun for what it was but didn't knock me on my ass. Irwin hitting a Sheamus style pump kick off of a leapfrog got a pop from my little girl but that's not enough to nominate this. The Road Warriors v. jobbers Fun to watch a Warriors squash as they are always better steamrolling people than working a straight match. Road Warriors promo The Road Warriors v. Jimmy Garvin/Steve Regal JIP. The early going in this was boring as piss but it opened up a bit when the heels started working over the Warriors. Match ends with Garvin pinning Animal after a wild clusterfuck involving the Freebirds on the floor.

Possible EXTRA Does this version show the LOD quasi-brawling with the crowd on the way back to the dressing room? Most of the versions that aired on Tv at the time omitted that. It is available so if this isn't that version, you'll likely see it at some point. That bit adds something to the whole "Curt is dying!" dynamic of having his head caught in the ropes.
