Bockwinkel highlight video introduced by Larry Z.

Larry Zbyszko/Nick Bockwinkel sit down interview mainly to set up a match with the Roadies

Nick Bockwinkel/Larry Zbyszko v. Tom Zenk/Curt Hennig

JIP. Match starts with a Zenk flurry but quickly we get Hennig as face in peril with the heels isolating him in their corner of the ring effectively. hennig's fireaman's carry escape and full scramble around the ring for the hot tag was well done. Bock ends up eating a series of nearfalls but Larry keeps coming in to make the save. Zenk with an airplance spin with Larry breaking up another pinfall with an elbow drop. Action spills to the floor and Zenk gets spike piledriven on the floor by Ray Stevens and Larry. This was a fun tv match and I liked the angle but I don't think it's something that merits attention for a set like this.

Curt Hennig/Greg Gagne/Scott Hall v. Larry Zbyszko/Ray Stevens/Nick Bockwinkel

Early on it is all Hennig confounding the heels with speed and precision. When Hall comes in they do a cool spot with Bock trying to reach on the ring and getting hung up on the ring ropes with the babyfaces bouncing on the ropes until he flips into the ring. They end up working over Larry's arm with the heels trying to save him but the faces stepping in to keep them at bay. Gagne actually rattles off some cool highspots including a rope running monkey flip and a headscissors takedown before tagging Hennig in. Hennig almost immediately takes a sharp belly to back which he sells the fuck out of and the heels drag him to their corner and start working him over 3 on 1. Hennig ends up on the ground taking a big body slam from Larry and a nasty knee drop to the top of his head. Larry finally throws Hennig back into the ring and locks on his ab stretch. Man Curt is selling his ass off. Heels keep distracting the ref to stop hot tags. Hennig with a fireman's carry and looks to roll away from Larry but gets grabbed by the back of his tights by Bock who beats him up and throws him back to Larry who his a suplex for a nearfall. Curt kicks Larry who telegraphs a back body drop and tries to scramble for a tag by Bock hits him with a hotshot type move that Curt bumps big for. Hennig with a cross body for a good nerfall and then a huge bump off of a double shoulder tackle bump with Bock that leads to the hot tag. All hell breaks loose and Stevens ends up getting pinned by a Hall powerslam. Hennig was great in this and everyone else looked good as well.

Larry Zbyszko v. Greg Gagne

JIP with Gagne on the floor apparently selling a big bump. Larry follows up with his big knees that allows look really nasty. Gagne fires p and Larry ends up bumping to the floor off of a dropkick. Larry ends up grabbing numchucks and beating the shit out of Gagne with them. Bock tries to stop him and he takes a shot with them to as does the ref. This would make a solid EXTRA

Nick Bockwinkel interview. They show the finish of the Gagne/Larry match. Bock challenges Larry.

Greg Gagne/Nick Bockwinkel v. Larry Zbyszko/Mr. Saito

JIP. Larry is isolated in the corner and Gagne has his neat looking deathlock/figure four variation on with Bock standing on Larry's head every time he gets near the ropes. When the heels take over I sort of lost interest. I thought Saito did some cool shit and I was surprised to see the heels win semi-clean but this did not really connect with me as a great performance by any of these guys.

Larry Zbyszko v. Nick Bockwinkel

This is more angle than match. Basically Zbyszko cracks the special ref with numchucks than beats Bock half to death with them then when a new ref hits the ring Larry immediately pins him. Post-match Karbo reverses the decision and suspends Larry as Zbyszko fights fans on the way back to the dressing room. EXTRA

Nick Bockwinkel interview. Great promo talking about how he wants another shot at the World Title but in the mean time he's going to have to show Larry how worthless he is.

Nick Bockwinkel interview. This one is proceeded by clips from the Larry beatdown with 'chucks. Another good promo

Nick Bockwinkel interview.

Nick Bockwinkel interview.

Both of the above are just putting over the nature of "Death Match" gimmick.

Nick Bockwinkel interview. This time he's got a bullwhip and dares Larry to bring his numchucks into the ring.

Larry Zbyszko interview talking shit on Bock.

Nick Bockwinkel v. Larry Zbyszko

Pre-match Larry demands the special guest ref leave or at least that's what I think happens and Karbo complies. Bock hits the ring and beats the shit out of Larry with Larry taking his between the ropes bump, getting rammed into the post, et. Bock is choking Larry out on the ropes and with mic chords and shit. Bock with a big piledriver. The ref gets bumped the floor and Bock ends up getting crotched on the top rope and pinned. Really short match though it was fun. Finish was so out of the blue though.

Ray Stevens/Nick Bockwinkel v. Larry Zbyszko/Super Ninja

JIP with Larry isolated in the babyface corner. Larry gets heeled by the babyfaces, Super Ninja tags in and works over Bock for a bit, good hot tag from Stevens and then a wild brawl erupts with Super Ninja getting body slammed on the floor. Bock starts whipping Larry with his bullwhip and choking him with it. This was fun.

Super Ninja/Mr. Saito/Larry Zbyszko v. Nick Bockwinkel/Greg Gagne/Ray Stevens

Basically the finish only is shown with Larry trapped in a figure four and a bombs away to his knee "injuring" him.

Curt Hennig v. Nick Bockwinkel

This is the finish from SuperClash II with Larry passing roll of quarters to Hennig to help him beat Bock. End result is the title being held up. This is an EXTRA

Nick Bockwinkel v. Larry Zbyszko

Bock ambushes Larry knocking the ref to the floor. Scott Leduc replaces him. Bock is just beating the piss out of Larry, stiffing him with forearms, choking him with the ring apron and ropes, et. and Larry is bumping around big for all of this. Larry ranting at Verne at ringside and Bock exposes an turnbuckle during this and bashes Larry into it when he comes back into the ring. Bock slaps on the figure-four but Larry gets to the bottom rope. Larry comeback almost seems to abrupt as he had taken a huge beating, but he does look good on offense and the crowd is really into this. Cool segment of nearfalls with both guys getting to the bottom rope to avoid defeat. Really like Larry piledriving Bock and then seeing his leg on the bottom rope and just crashing down on it. Bock gets on a sleeper but Larry falls on the ropes. Then an ab stretch but Larry pulls down Leduc. Bock goes to his trunks and hits Larry with a roll of dimes for the pin. Super heated match, with a cool finish. Post-match Bock tells Leduc he hit him with a roll of dimes. Leduc says he didn't see it and upholds his original decision.

Finish of Bockwinkel v. Hennig is shown with Larry attacking Boc

Larry Zbyszko v. Mr. Saito

This is the last five minutes of the match where Zbyszko wins back the title. Bockwinkel is the special guest ref. Really good finishing run to this with some sweet offense from both guys. Larry wins lifting his shoulder on a "Saito" suplex double pin.

Larry Zbyszko interview. This is right after winning back the title. Really great promo from Larry talking about how Japan is a nation full of losers and how he even won with a ref that hates him. EXTRA
