Posted November 13, 201014 yr comment_5458286 This is a ten minute challenge match. If Dukes last ten minutes or wins he gets to pain Debeers black. If the Col wins..well...Dukes is fired up early rocking spinning back elbows, leg pressing Debeers in the corner, et. Boy Debeers bumps big in this match taking these wild theatrical leaps around the ring and coming back with cheapshots and standard heel tactics. Dukes powering out of a backbreaker and hip tossing Debeers was a pretty good cut off spot. Debeers with a huge bulldog for a nearfall. Debeers with a sleep which Dukes escapes by walking him to the corner and dropping Debeers face first into the turnbuckle. Holy shit Dukes running off a series of headbutts which you know is going to kill the White Supremacist. Debeers gets caught in the ropes and Dukes charges at him for a dive but Debeers moves and Dukes crashes to the floor. Dukes tries to slingshot in for a sunset flip but Debeeers casually moves out of the way. Dukes makes a comeback and hits a big diving shoulderblock for a nearfall. Dukes with a roll up attempt but Debeers kicks out sending Dukes into the ref. Debeers goes to the trunks and knocks out Dukes for the finish. Debeers starts painting Dukes white so Tommy Jammer hits the ring and starts painting Dukes black. Then Dukes chases Debeers around ringside with black paint. The gimmick is so ridiculous that it has to make the set one way or the other, but I'm going to nominate this because I actually liked the match a good bit.
March 30, 201114 yr comment_5468594 Col. Debeers v. Derrick Dukes - I really enjoyed this match proper. Cool beginning with DeBeers on the ropes and Dukes shooting him off. DeBeers abusing Dukes was classic Wiskowski. However, after Dukes kicked out of the bulldog, I thought he was going to make the time limit. Then came that angle. Damn, man. Anyway, solid nomination but I wished we had it in better VQ.

May 2, 201213 yr comment_5501518 10:00 Challenge: Col. DeBeers vs. Derrick Dukes (6/23/89) DeBeers bumps around for Dukes early on and this was fun because I always dug Dukes and thought he was going to be a big star in wrestling. Dukes is trying to win in 10 minutes so he can paint DeBeers black with DeBeers pinning Dukes white if the other way around happened so he is extra motivated here. DeBeers fires back by working over Dukes' back then works a sleeper until Dukes ran him into the corner. Dukes comes back firing headbutts of course since he is black before DeBeers gets tied up in the ropes with Dukes teeing off until he runs at him and flies over the top to the floor. DeBeers would hit a big piledriver but Dukes got to the ropes and it wasn't long after that before Dukes made a comeback until there is a ref bump allowing DeBeers to go to his pants to get a foreign object to win. DeBeers paints Dukes white until Tommy Jammer runs out with black paint to repaint him black and Dukes chases DeBeers away. This was quite the spectacle but the work is enough to warrant at least a low-end pick.
