Posted November 17, 201015 yr comment_5458386 Early on Blackwell with his awesome big bumping and selling for Verne and then we get an edit with Adnan and Mad Dog going at it. They spill to the floor and Mad Dog gets busted open with a bell shot. Mad Dog starts throwing chairs into the ring but it does not good as he is busted open and gets beat to shit by Adnan with the cast and Blackwell with the powerslam. Wild stand off spot with Blackwell and Mad Dog trading sick sounding punches. Mad Dog tags in Verne who rattles off some cool shit including a nice drop kick but then gets hit with a big powerslam. Blackwell with his big missed splash bumps and the faces remove the cast from Adnan. Mad Dog hits a pretty nasty looking chairshot on Blackwell on the floor. Verne with a diving knee onto Adnan's "broken" arm for the finish. I liked this one a lot actually, but it was only about half of a 13 minute match. I'll pass it along as a low end nomination, with the caveat that it really ought to be an extra if it doesn't make the cut as a match.
January 16, 201213 yr comment_5492393 Verne Gagne & Mad Dog Vachon vs. Crusher Blackwell & Sheik Adnan Kaissey (4/24/83) Verne has come out of retirement for the first time here and the faces come to the ring to I can't believe this...CELEBRATION BY KOOL AND THE GANG. This was another important match for the AWA and while the work wasn't great here the fans were extremely into this as Vachon bled really good here. Blackwell was the worker here of course and was good here in his role. Gagne was also good in his role and the fans loved when he was in the ring. The fans got their satisfying finish here and this has to be on the set whether it finishes high or not.
May 8, 201213 yr Author comment_5502080 Pretty sure there is a more full version of this out there, though I don't remember what disc. Bumping this so khawk can give it a look and see if he recalls a disc off hand that would have this in full/more complete. Either I agree with Kris that this pretty much has to make the set.
May 8, 201213 yr comment_5502127 I believe the version on the Super Sunday discs is complete. It does exist in full.
