Posted November 19, 201014 yr comment_5458430 FBI comes out but get destroyed by Sandman. Taz runs out and clips Sandman hurting his knee. Todd Gordon comes out and gets into it with Fonzy. Sandman v. Taz Non-match really as Tyler gets brought out by Stevie distracting Sandman so Taz can win. Super Nova v. Pablo Marquez Decent effort here and Marquez took some crazy shit in this. Marquez hitting the misdirection tope onto Meanie was really awesome. This had the same ending as the night before but with Nova rolling through on a Marquez splash. Steve Richards v. Mikey Whipwreck Pre-match Richards harasses Mikey and gets him to do the Fargo Strut with him and Meanie. They go to do it and second time and Mikey hits a double bulldog and then whipes the two of them and Nova out with a plancha. Mikey ends up working an arm bar as an early base and they come up for some highspots every now and then. Mikey uses Richards as a vault and flip planchas onto Meanie. Richards ends up taking over with a low blow. Richards offense is really uninspired and Mikey comes back with a rocker dropper and goes to the top where he takes a sick looking superkick for a pretty great nearfall. Ridiculous comedy spot with Meanie getting powder kicked into his eyes, him accidentally powerbombing Stevie, then Nova accidentally diving onto him than Mikey winning. Nowhere near as good as their two other singles matches I've seen, though the superkick spot is as good as any single spot I've seen period and will get this a thumbs up from me. Bubba Dudley/Pitbull 2 v. Eliminators Pitbull 2 was a last second partner for Bubba ordered by Tod Gordon. Bubba hits a sweet dropkick early. Saturn bailing to the ring on a closed fist was great. Opening Bubba/Saturn exchange was really good actually as they worked a good dueling fireman's carry spot and I am a mark for the rope running monkey flip in general, especially when it is a fat guy doing it and he nearly launches Saturn out of the ring. Saturn tries to do the same so Bubba stomps on his face. Saturn getting caught by Pitbull 2 on a moonsault attempt was really well done. They end up settling into arm work on Saturn. Bubba went FIP and the longer this went on the more I loss interest. I just really find the Elims uninteresting on offense. By the end of this I just didn't care anymore. Elims really did suck. Big Dick Dudley destroys FBI and Bad Crew Bruise Brothers v. The Gangstas Boy this goes on a long time. They worked fairly hard and there were some surprises like Mustapha throwing a dropkick but I was relieved for the Samoans run in. Then the fucking match kept going on and I was pissed. New Jack bleeds a gusher and the Gangstas win. Stupid angle with Richards/Nova/Meanie gettin beat up by Gordy and Dreamer only for Lee and Taz to tease a match and then walk out. Shane Douglas v. Chris Jericho I'm going to go ahead and nominate this even though I wasn't super high on it. Story was that Jericho was working speed v. Douglas cheating/experience. Douglas ends up focusing on the leg and they did some reasonably cool stuff worked around that premise. I didn't think Jericho's selling was very compelling and this is another match that felt too long to me, but I did like the finish and this is a textbook example of a match I could see others liking more than I do. Taz/Brian Lee v. Tommy Dreamer/Terry Gordy I liked the Dreamer/Taz mat exchange god help me and Taz tossing a chair at a fan was funny but this was really meandering with no one looking like they wanted to be there at all.
